Faqs

  • How do I charge?

Method 1: Plug It Into a Wall Outlet - The car comes with an AC charger with common 120V and 240V adapters. If you have access to an outlet simply plug in. Note: Charge time varies depending on the power source and can vary from 8 to 24+ hours for a full charge. Method 2: Tesla's Supercharger Network - Find a Tesla Supercharging Station using the on-board navigation and plug in. Charge time is usually 30 to 50 mins. The car is linked to my Tesla Account and bills me directly. At the end of your trip I will provide a breakdown of any charging fees you may get and request reimbursement through the Post-Trip Reimbursement process. Note: A full charge costs about $20 and the estimated cost of charge will be displayed for you on the screen of the vehicle during charging. At busy charging locations Tesla charges an idle fee if your car sits in a charger space after it is done charging so be sure to note the estimated charge time and be prepared to return and move the car to avoid idle fees. Method 3: 3rd Party Charge Stations - There are various 3rd party chargers around that you are welcome to use. Note: I typically do not recommend going this route as they are slower to charge and require some financial setup time (entering CC info, setting up an account, etc.)

  • How much charge will the car come with and how much charge do I need to return it with?

I will deliver the car with at least 250 miles of charge. I ask that you return the car with at least 200 miles of charge. If you are unable to return the car with 200 miles of charge, it's not a problem. I will charge a $5-$20 post-trip charging fee to cover my charging costs. If I am unable to deliver the car with 250 miles of charge, I will notify the guest prior to delivery with the state of charge expectations for the trip.

Really enjoyed driving the model 3! Took it to work twice and enjoyed a weekend driving along the coast. Would recommend taking it out for more than a couple days 🙌
