Faqs

  • Am I responsible for paying for fuel?
    Yes! As a traveler, you are responsible for returning a vehicle with the same level of fuel it had at the start of the trip, that is, when you picked up the keys. Premium fuel only (return gas as given to you, $20 convenience fee if returned with less gas then given) Or you can choose PREPAID REFUEL option! Save time and make dropoff a breeze by adding this Extra, which allows you to return my car at any fuel level. Price includes up to a full tank of gas.
  • Are my passengers allowed to drive? How do I add a driver?
    To get another licensed driver officially approved to drive: Once you’ve booked a trip on Turo, navigate to the trip page in the Turo app or by logging into www.turo.com. The booked trip should be in your “Trips” tab of your Dashboard. Near the bottom of this page, you’ll see a “Drivers” Section; this section should indicate you as the primary driver. Here you can simply add the email address of your secondary driver. If your secondary driver is already an approved Turo member, they will automatically be approved. If they have not yet created a Turo account, they will receive an email with instructions on how to get approved to drive. Your secondary driver must follow the instructions in the email we send to them about getting approved.
  • Am I responsible for paying for rim scratches ?
    Yes you are. You will be charged $100 for any rim scratches.
  • How do I extend a trip?
    To keep driving beyond your scheduled trip end, go to your Dashboard to request a trip change. All requests must be made before a trip ends so that the host can approve or decline the new end time. Trip change requests expire eight hours from the request, or at the end of the original trip end time.
  • What happens if I get a ticket?
    Guests are responsible for all tickets incurred during their trip. If you notify us that you’re going to take care of the ticket, you won’t be charged any additional administration fees. If we receive the ticket from the owner, the credit card used for the trip will be charged immediately for the amount of the ticket. You may be charged an additional administration fee
  • Am I responsible for cleaning the car before I return it?
    Cars should be returned in the same condition they were received. If you return the car in a noticeably dirtier condition you may incur a cleaning fee from $25 to $120, depending on the seriousness of the issue. Or choose post-trip cleaning option. Return the car hassle free, without worrying about cleaning up after your trip. Does not cover upholstery cleaning, spills, stains, pet hair, or smoke removal.
  • How does pickup and drop off work?
    Using our messaging system, owners and their guests should connect before the trip start to coordinate picking up and dropping off the vehicle. Once a trip has been confirmed, you’ll receive the owner’s contact information as well. When you pick the car up, you should: Inspect it with the owner to make sure you understand any special aspects of the car Take a photo of the dashboard to capture the mileage and fuel level Take photos of any pre-existing damage (so that you are not held responsible for it) Show the owner your valid driver's license
  • Do I need a motorcycle license to rent your slingshot?
    No. A regular license is all you need.
