Previous guest returned the car with damages and we cancelled in order to not put our future guest’s safety at risk. We wanted to make sure the car was up to Turo’s standards which is now complete.

The car we rented had no oil and was in need of major repairs including new brakes. As we had driven it to Morro Bay immediately upon receiving the car, we couldn't simply exchange it for a different car. I spent the better part of two days driving to and from a mechanic and waiting for repairs to be completed. Mayly and her partner told us that their mechanic in LA had misled, or lied to them, about the maintenance of the car. Obviously I have no way of knowing who was ultimately at fault but Mayly needed to be the one to take responsibility. Mayly and her partner paid for an Uber and a rental car for us while their car was being repaired. They also refunded some of the rental money as we had to spend some of our vacation time dealing with auto repair. I'm glad they eventually took responsibility but we shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place and they should have stepped up more quickly to make things right.
