The absolute WORST experience I've had with any service. For those of you who just want a brief summary of my experience with the Vitalii: He is the most unprofessional, disrespectful and rude host. I waited hours for him to pick me up. And after waiting, he sent a friend, made me drive him back to his place and missed all the appointments I had in Los Angeles that afternoon. The car was a mess when I received it and I got charged for damages that the car already had when it was handed in to me. I'm highly recommend double thinking before renting a car from him. Terrible terrible experience. 0/10! For a longer version: I landed at LAX a little under 2:00 PM. The car was supposed to be waiting outsite at exaclty 2:00. When I texted Vitalii, he said he wasn't going to be able to make it since one of his friends had been using the car for the weekend on a roadtrip he had to Las Vegas. So that his friend was driving down from Vegas to pick me up at the airport. I naively accepted and waited an hour and a half at the airport for his FRIEND (NOT THE HOST) to come pick me up. After driving down from Vegas to LA the car was obviously a mess. The tires had sidewall damage, the car was NOT sanitized nor clean as I was promised it would be and it had some other things. After his friend arrives to pick us up (On an empty tank obviously..) He took us to fill up the tank, and then told us that we had to go drop him off at HIS place which was an hour away from the airport. And on the complete opposite direction of where I was supposed to go. Again, I naively accepted (since this is my first time using Turo, I assumed it was fine.. Unprofessional.. But fine). After we dropped him off, I kindly texted Vitalii saying this was unacceptable. I missed two of the doctors appointments I had flown in to LA for and finally got back to my hotel at around 7 pm. (5 HOURS AFTER I WAS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE THE CAR). Vitalii was kind enough to tell his friend to offer us $50 for the inconvenience. I was so tired of fighting that I accepted it and decided to make the best out of the rest of my trip. When I met Vitalii back at the airport to drop off the car, I thanked him for the service, asked if he sees anything wrong with the car and he said everything was fine, once again apologized for the inconvenience caused at the beginning of the trip, and I took off. Days after the trip was over, I WAS CHARGED $500.00 FOR THE DAMAGES HIS FRIEND HAD MADE BEFORE HANDING THE CAR IN TO ME AT THE BEGINNING. He had obviously been driving at full speed trying to make it to LAX from Las Vegas on time. All of the damages Vitalii is claiming that I need to pay ALREADY EXISTED when the car was handed in. Guys, again, this has been the worst service experience I've had in my entire life. I don't wish this experience upon any of you. Please don't ever trust this host. And I hope Turo reads this and shuts down his account. You're better off paying more for another car with a nicer host that will give you the pleasant experience you deserve.
