Description

If this is your first time in a Tesla then you are in for a treat! This ultra slick Tesla Model 3 (nicknamed "The Black Pearl") brings you all the excitement of a sporty luxury sedan without having to pay for a gas guzzler at the pump! Super quick acceleration and a smooth, quiet ride make driving a blast. The Black Pearl is still like new (just over 7k miles!) and comes loaded with a skylight roof, black leather interior, heated seats, state of the art navigation, USB, Bluetooth audio, premium connectivity, keyless entry and locks, and a physical keycard as well if needed. Easily fits 5 adults, with plenty of room for taller adults in the front or back seat. You'll take the helm of the Black Pearl with 200+ miles of range, ready to cruise around the open roads of SoCal. Should you plan on going further during your trip, charging is much cheaper than gas--between $15-$20 for a full charge, which typically takes only 30-40 minutes on a Tesla supercharger. Don't be shy about using Tesla superchargers as the Black Pearl is linked to my account and I can just bill you back dollar for dollar (no upcharge!) after your trip. When your trip is wrapping up--"Do I really have to bring it back?"--do your best to bring it back with close to a full "daily driving" charge, or around 200 miles. Close is fine. Definitely don't miss a flight, a dinner, or an important meeting to try to get a few more miles of charging. Not worth it. I'll work with you. Not looking to nickel and dime anybody, much less have you ruin your trip! I want you to come away from your trip thrilled with the experience and wanting to take the Black Pearl for another spin next time you're in SoCal. Looking forward to hosting you. You're going to love driving the Black Pearl!

No pets, please, and no smoking of any kind. We clean the car between each use, but we will charge a $100 cleaning fee for smoking in the vehicle or if pets have been in the vehicle. We love our pets, too! We just want to keep The Black Pearl looking like new for the next guest!

Faqs

  • How and where can I charge the Black Pearl?

The easiest and most efficient option is to charge at any Tesla Supercharger station. If you charge at a Tesla supercharger the cost of charging will be billed to my Tesla account. For a full charge this will usually be $15-$17. Then at the end of your trip we will add this cost as an incidental. We do not add any "surcharges." You only pay for the charging you used. The Tesla superchargers are very fast and you should be able to get from near empty to a full charge in 30 minutes or less. A map of all Tesla superchargers is available on the navigation system or can also be viewed here: https://www.tesla.com/supercharger As you scroll down the page when you see the map appear just click on "Find Us" on the left hand side.

  • Are there other options besides Tesla Superchargers to charge the car?

Yes, you have two other options: Option two is to use any available electric vehicle charger that's convenient for you. These non-Tesla charging stations take longer, but sometimes they are more convenient depending on where your trip takes you. These will typically require a credit or debit card, though you may be lucky and find one that is free or included in your hotel bill. These will typically take several hours to get to a full charge. Option three is to use a Tesla "Destination Charger." These are different from superchargers, and like non-Tesla charging stations they will take longer. But if there happens to be one at your hotel or near where you're staying, they can be a good option. A full charge on a destination charger will be about the same as other non-Tesla chargers so should take between 5-7 hours.

  • How much does it cost to charge The Black Pearl?

To get a full charge at a Tesla Supercharger will typically cost $15 - $20. This is based on going from near empty (less than 30 miles of range) to 215 miles. Costs for other electric vehicle charging stations will vary.

  • What is considered a full charge?

The Black Pearl is set to charge to about 215 miles, so I ask that guests bring it back with close to 200 miles or so of range. The Black Pearl has 240+ miles of range at a full charge. However, Tesla recommends only charging to 90% in most cases as charging repeatedly to 100% over the long-term will reduce battery life.

  • What if I don't have time to charge The Black Pearl before I return it?

If the vehicle is really low on charge and you run out of time or just prefer not to worry about recharging before returning, just bring it back with at least 25 miles of range. I can charge it for you and bill a flat $50 fee to allow for my time getting it ready for the next driver. But just to be clear, I'm not going to hit you with a fee for being a little shy of a full charge. This is only if it's under 1/3 charge. And even then, if you let me know in advance we can work something out.
