This Tesla is all wheel drive, it belongs on the highway and streets and not in the dirt and mud. It is a low profile car so do not drive on uneven dirt or rocky roads. If you are not familiar with driving a Tesla already, I am happy to show you how to be safe and enjoy your driving experience. Please return this sweet ride as clean as it was when it left. You will be invoiced after the trip for any Tesla supercharging fees. NOTE: you will be charged the Turo per mileage rate for any miles over your trip total of allotted 300 miles each day. You will be responsible for any non Tesla charging stations (ChargePoint, PlugShare, etc) during your trip if you need to use those stations. ( you have to use your credit card on these type of stations with the charging adapter in the trunk). Most guests do not use these— they just navigate to the Tesla supercharging stations. Much better and easier and faster. IMPORTANT NOTE: Tesla supercharger stations will charge an “idle fee” if you leave the car plugged in after it has reached 80% or complete charge at 90-100%. Tesla charges up to $1 per minute for this if you leave it plugged in more than 5 minutes after charge is complete. This fee will be passed onto you. So make sure you disconnect after you are done charging. Don’t get an idle charging fee. Basically, stay near the car when charging is almost complete and disconnect and leave when finished. You must return the car with a minimum of 10% charge. For safety, Please do not to let car get below 10% charge level ( about 35 miles)during your trip. It could harm the battery if it goes lower. You could be charged up to $500 for towing plus the cost of any damage to the batteries if you let it run out of charge. Just DO NOT let the battery get empty—or even close. You will not have an issue if you plan your trip with factoring in supercharging stations along the way. The GPS navigation can show you where charging stations are along the way. For slow charging in a pinch, a 25 foot 110V charging cable is in the trunk that you can use at any regular household type plug. There is also a charging adapter for any non Tesla charging station. Just do not forget to retrieve them after use. If they are lost or damaged, you will be charged $250 for the charging cable and $100 for the adapter.
