Once you arrive on Kauai you will quickly observe the majority of vehicles you see on island are Toyotas. That's because it is a very reliable and safe island car that all Kauaians already know. The next thing you will notice is how expensive gas is. This Camry has a 4 cylinder that will get you around the island without breaking the bank. As you can tell from the pictures, I keep this car very clean. The interior is regularly cleaned and sprayed with a protectant to prevent stains from minor spills. I know it took a lot for you to get here let me ensure your travel while here is seamless and worry free. I promise to deliver this vehicle clean, disinfected and in proper working order to you. I don't expect the vehicle to be as clean as you received it upon it's return. I don't mind the dust and grime on the outside of the vehicle. I ask that it doesn't look like you entered a mud out contest. I understand you are here to have fun and create memories so I have placed rubber mats which will help clean the sand and mud off the floors. I will deliver the vehicle with a full tank of gas. I ask that you return it the same or take advantage of our post fuel up convenience in the extras section below. I handle all my pick ups and drop offs contactless by using a lockbox. Further instructions will be sent to you closer to your pick up time to make this process seamless. As of March 2022 all Turo host are not allowed to do any business at the airport or at the airport parking lot. Any host who offers this service is involving you with a misdemeanor crime, as its been explained to me. The good news is I'm only a 5 min drive away from the airport. Your Uber/Lyft/taxi will probably cost less than picking it up at the airport parking lot. How clean should I return the vehicle?
I will deliver the vehicle exceptionally clean to you. I don't expect the vehicle to return in the same manner. We realize you are visiting an island and plan on having fun here. When returning the vehicle I expect the exterior to be dusty. It shouldn't look like it went through a local mud out competition. The interior is what takes me the longest to clean. Please take out any trash in the vehicle. I expect some sand and dust on the mats. That's perfectly fine. What we don't want to see is stains in the seats or carpet. Also, if you find yourself driving a dusty road please, please, please don't leave the windows down. It will take me 3-5 hours trying to get all that dust out of every nook and cranny of the vehicle. I believe this is not to much to ask and doesn't prevent you from enjoying your trip here worry free. I hope this gives you guidance and reassurance that I'm not here to get extra fees out of anyone just because the vehicle isn't returned flawless.
How do I upload my drivers license?
The Turo platform will be slightly different depending on its use on a smart phone or computer. Look for a tab called trips or trip photos on the messaging board once you make the reservation and you will see add photo, add trip photo, add/share photo, etc. Once you click on this link the app will prompt you to take pictures. 2 pictures are required within 24 hours of your scheduled pick up time. if you upload the pictures 25 hours or later prior to the pick up time you will have to resend your pictures with in the 24 hour period. The 1st picture is a close up of your drivers license. The 2nd picture is of your drivers license next to your face. (Similar to a selfie with your drivers license).
Tips on this vehicle
Tips for the 2017 Toyota Camry: There are scratches and dents on this car, we are aware of them and we expect small dings will be caused by other car doors in parking lots in the future. There are some bigger scratches on the rear bumper and a larger scratch on the right rear panel. Please take care when moving luggage out of trunk. The easiest way to connect to the stereo is through the usb connection tucked away near a small storage cubby hole near the bottom of the center dash. It will be near a cigarette lighter power adapter.
If the vehicle is damaged during your trip.
If this happens the first thing to do is call Turo support (610)891-9850. Contact us as well, we can facilitate the process as well. We can resolve the issue with your car insurance or through Turo insurance. It will behoove you to check if your insurance provides coverage with Turo "peer to peer" some do, some don't.

Fantastic car and owner! The communication with Dominik was top notch. Our flight arrived very late and he we was so accommodating to make sure that we were able to pick up the car. Great vehicle to get around the island and awesome hosts! We really appreciated that they offer the add-ons for the beach chairs, beach umbrella, and cooler. Also, since our flight out was leaving early before the Turo shuttle started running they were nice enough to get up early to take us to the airport. Highly recommend booking with them!

Dominik was great…very easy to deal with. He communicated very quickly, and his listing was so thorough, I didn’t really even need to ask any questions. This was my first Turo experience, and it could not have been easier. The car was fantastic. It was like “showroom new”, but you didn’t feel like you were driving around some bougie rental looking like a tourist. The car was great running, clean, and very easy on gas. All right Turo, I’m a fan now. If you’re looking for a car while on Kauai, this is it. And if you’re stopping in Kauai from the NCL cruise, this IS the way to go. Great job. Mahalo Dominik! 🤙🏼
