My base model Hyundai Elantra is a rock star! I drove this thing for 66,000 miles as a Lyft driver, with no issues. Traction control and front-wheel drive mean that you can get around the Pacific Northwest in the worst kind of rain with ease. Snow chains available, but this thing will bottom out in 1 foot or less packed snow. On a recent trip from Seattle to Vancouver, BC, I managed 44mpg with cruise control @ 70mph! 30mpg in city driving. Excellent ride - drives and feels like a larger car. Four adults can ride with ease, but the Elantra is considered a compact. Beware if your drivers/riders are 6'2"+ or with larger waist lines. Trunk is large and has accommodated two of the largest suitcases you can imagine. Bluetooth hookup is a snap - audio is great. Interior is clean but 'well-used'. If you need to eat on the run - feel free! Dash cam available, but recommend using your own.
