Description

** ELECTRIC CAR == DOES NOT have a gasoline engine *** !! 220 MILE RANGE !! Please read through all the information on this listing carefully, including all the Frequently Asked Questions, and be certain you want to rent an ELECTRIC vehicle before booking. Travelers that rent this car are responsible for knowing how to charge an electric vehicle, how to find charging locations within the available vehicle range and how to estimate charging times at charging locations. The host for this car will be available by cell phone or text to answer questions on vehicle charging, vehicle performance and charging locations. Travelers that deplete the high voltage battery while in transit will be responsible for contacting Turo to have the car towed to nearest charging station (up to 50 miles) and the traveler will be responsible for all other expenses related to time delays due to depleted battery. When going to an unfamiliar public charging station CALL FIRST!!! Don't expect the station to be functioning or usable just because the station is listed on a website or app. Find out from the station operator if the charger has an EV plug (not Tesla plug) or a CCS plug. if the charger is functioning and what the billing options for the charger are before proceeding to the station. PlugShare is a good app to use to find charging stations. Other apps include ChargePoint and Blink (and I will supply membership cards for both - just reimburse me for the charges at the end of the trip) Best part - You can return the car with as low as 50 miles left for No Extra Charge! Chevy Bolt EV is a fun to drive car with a 220+ mile range on full charge. Pictures say almost everything I need to say - but worth noting are a few key cool features: LCD Camera Display Rear View Mirror. HD Front and Rear Vision Camera. HD Surround Vision. Xenon headlights. Preconditioning (for cold weather starts). All seats heated. Heated Steering. and then a few advanced safety features: Forward Collision Alert. Front Pedestrian Braking. Automatic Emergency Braking. Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. Blind spot warning accident avoidance system. Dual front and dual rear side-mounted airbags. Passenger airbag occupant sensing deactivation. Turn signal mirrors. Ventilated front disc / solid rear disc brakes. Bike Rack available for additional charge

Faqs

  • How and where do I charge this car?

Public chargers are available almost everywhere in urban areas. Download and use PlugShare app to find one. If it is a ChargePoint or Blink, you can use the card I will provide and you just reimburse me for the amount. Other option is to charge using a regular 110V outlet with provided charging cable. But it will be very slow.

  • What is the range on a single charge?

The Chevy Bolt EV is one of longest range electric vehicles on the market today. The original EPA rated combined city/highway range is 220 miles but owners of this car have reported achieving this range at sustained full highway speeds and also exceeded this range based on driving conditions. A renter can expect a usable range of about 200+ miles with a continuous speed of 75 mph. Stop and go traffic, excessive speed and ambient temperature combined with the use of climate control can dramatically affect range.

  • Does this car have a gasoline engine?

No - This is an all electric vehicle that can be charged at local DC Fast Charging and EV public charging stations or anywhere there is a 120V wall outlet. A depleted battery will charge in about one hour using a DC fast charger (these are not common), in about five hours using a public EV charger (220V) and in about 24 hours using a 120V wall outlet. The car comes with a 120V outlet charging cord and the locations of public DC fast chargers and EV chargers can found using the PlugShare app or website.

Sameer checked in with me before the trip, showed up on time with a mask on for my protection, provided a clean, cooled and cool car to drive. He explained the car to me and showed interest in what I was doing. It couldn’t have been a better trip. If you want a great electric car to drive with plenty of range, I highly suggest Sumeer if you are visiting the Dallas area.
