  • What Happens When Your Tesla Battery Reaches 0%?

    1. Once your Tesla’s main battery pack runs out of power, the car will no longer be able to drive. You can monitor your battery’s power level by checking the range and battery meter located at the top of your car’s touchscreen display. The small battery icon changes color—from green to yellow to red—as the battery level gets lower, much like the low-fuel light on a gasoline car or the battery indicator on your phone. Tesla provides plenty of warning when your battery is nearing depletion. Multiple notifications will pop up to let you know that the battery is running low and needs to be recharged soon. 2. When your battery is critically low, Tesla will suggest nearby charging locations, such as the nearest Supercharger, and will notify you when you're getting out of range of the nearest one. With these ample warnings, you're unlikely to get stranded—so it’s important to heed the alerts and recharge when needed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFC2rvY8Qek

Eligible Battery Level Charges: 0%–10% Battery Difference: Complementary (no charge). 11%–30% Battery Difference: $5 charge. 31%–60% Battery Difference: $15 charge. 61%–80% Battery Difference: $20 charge. 81%+ Battery Difference: $25 charge.
