First, I want to say that I never met Armando, so I cannot really review him. When you get to the location, you walk into a car repair shop and the attendant tells you to go out back. I did just that and waited, after sending Armando a message that I was there. He did reply quickly to let me know when I would get the key. A female approached the office and told me to have a seat because she was spraying the car with Lysol. I appreciate the anti-bacterial spray. She then said it was mine to take with no prompt to take photos, which I luckily did. After I took photos, I got in the car and she came running with the key. My fault 100% since I didn’t ask, but I could’ve driven away without the key since it was still running. Now about the car: there is another reviewer who said he was scared for his life, or something similar. I was never scared for my life, so I think that was dramatic. I drove the car on freeways and yes, it had its problems. The car would shake, takeoff was either hesitant or rapid, and it wasn’t the cleanest, with spots on fabric door rests, crumbs in shifter, and tears in seat protectors. Main functions performed well: driving, maneuvering, windshield wipers, radio, a/c, power windows. Overall, a good car to rent for the price! I wanted to expect more from someone who owns a car repair shop, but I did get what I paid for! My drop off was interesting: I did elect a 7:00 drop-off, which is when the shop closes. I arrived about 15 minutes early and there was nobody at the location where I picked it up. I walked up to the front office and handed someone named Carlos the key because he insisted he take it after I asked where Armando was. I had already sent Armando a message letting him know I was there to return and asking where to check in (this was my first Turo rental, so I wasn’t sure how the check-in went). He didn’t respond for about 20 minutes, so I did walk to the office and handed Carlos the key. I sent Armando a message and told him I had done that and he said that was acceptable. Looking through Armando’s profile, there are a lot of stock photos of cars that may not reflect what you actually get, but the important thing is to ask. I had initially requested a 2020 Jeep Cherokee and Armando said it wasn’t available, so I went with the 2015 Sentra because I was in need. Verify his inventory. Again, I wish I could review him but I never met him.

I can not be present with all my customers, as you can see I have a lot of car, I have to clean them sometimes, I do the deliveries too, so I can not work alone 2. The first car you wanted to book was a 2015 Jeep Compass. 3. Regarding the photos of my cars. They are the pictures that I take of them. Thank you!

Do not book!! Would not recommend The car was breaking down I was in fear for my life driving it on the highway the car and steering wheel was shaking so hard, it was dirty inside the car had blood on top of the roof like somebody shot up with a needle, the owner try to charge me $60 to drop the vehicle off 10 minutes from the pick up location to where I was at in work, finally when I dropped the vehicle off it was a little bit below a full tank and the owner charged me $45 to fill up his tank. Wouldn’t book this car you’re going to regret it.

Armando was great to work with. And the car was nice too. So, 5 stars for Armando. But only 1 star for the Turo web site and customer support. When Armando agreed to let me extend the rental, the Turo web site was terrible about handling this. It did not clearly show how to secure the extension and how to go about paying the extra amount for the rental extension. When trying to call Turo customer support today (July 7) for a follow up billing question, I was sent to "menu hell" and never could get to a human. I finally figured out how to handle this payment (I think), but the Turo site was of little help. So, in summary, 5 stars for Armando, and 1 star for the Turo web site and customer support.

Amando is the best. I was able to use his cars on different ocassions around the city. Even when there was a small problem , he was able to fix it in a speedy manner. I definitely would use his cars again. He's so respectful and delivered a clean and reputable car. He's the best.
