• How do I put the top down/up?

  1. Hopefully the weather cooperates so you can have the top down! To do this is very easy, but there are some details that you need to pay attention to. First there is a trunk cover inside the trunk. Mercedes refers to this as the partition. Essentially, it's a cover that pulls back and goes forward depending on if you need to haul luggage or not. In order to haul luggage, you need to squeeze the handle gently on the partition and release it from the clamps on the left and right. You release that just by squeezing the handle and lightly pulling. This will allow the trunk cover to go forward. When it is in this position the top will not go down as there is no place to house the top. In order to put the top down you need to pull that partition and make sure it's latched on the left and right and the trunk is covered. You will know you're doing it correctly if the top goes up and down. If you get a warning on the dash that the trunk partition is open then you know you need to pull it back and make sure it's latched on the left and right. Again this does not require any strong arm or force. It's very easy to do. 2. Once the trunk partition is in place, right in front of the center console is a triangular leather cover. That is a door that opens. When you open that door that exposes the lever for the electric top. Pulling the lever gently up will start the process of the top opening. It is quite a sight to see actually. You can continue to hold that in the up position until the message on the dash goes away. The message on the dash is very roof in operation. Once that goes away you know it's completely open. Closing is the exact opposite with you pushing the lever down instead of pulling up. Just watch the messages on the dash to let you know when the operation is complete. The small button in the middle of the up and down lever for the top is the windows. Make sure the small quarter Windows close completely after you put the top up.

• How do I operate Stereo/Android Auto & Apple Car Play?

  Apple Car Play/Android Auto is accessed by plugging your phone into the USB port that is sitting loose inside of the ashtray area. Once you are there and plugged in you will use the touch screen to access the interface. Scroll over until you see a large icon for Z LINK. Pressing that icon will open the carplay interface. Prior to doing that make sure you are tuned to the station you want or have it set to auxiliary to play music from your phone. The rotary knob in front of the convertible top lever will scroll through options on the screen when you are in the radio interface. Beyond that you will use the touch screen to interact with the stereo system. If you want to switch back to the traditional radio interface, you look for the icon that says NTG (AM/FM). That will take you back to the traditional AM/FM radio interface and you will control that from the rotary knob outlined above. The steering wheel controls for the radio control volume, etc.
