👍👍We should all be so lucky to have a gentleman such as Carlos as our host. Absolutely choose tour trip with Carlos. You can tell he's a Gearhead, he's comical, and polite, responsiv. This is my First Trip utilizing Turo and my first trip to IAH. My texts weren't going through when using the Turo App, not only was I on a time-crunch but I needed to eat real bad and after flying, be aware the heat of the parking lot could be extreme. Either the Turo app or cell signal wasn't working, we later found out. However using the in App "Phone Call feature" connected us. You then receive the parking pass to leave with the car via text msg. The pass will enable one to leave and enter the parking facility when I walked off the plane, right onto a free shuttle bus. Was the smoothest experience, until i could not leave the parking lot. This might be a security measure but hinders the process if ones phone isn't working out there. So you may need to coordinate this portion with host when you arrive in the airport, before you head out to the car. wifi, ac, food, electricity and bathrooms. After a long day of sitting on a cramped hot plane, and then phone/app issues, unable to smoothly leave meant(the lot attendants and I searching the car) we all sweated on this concrete pad as the Texas sun went down in 101 degrees. The parking facility Carlos choose to offer this parking and shuttle service is GREAT! The people are exceptional, caring, down to earth and conversational. The environment during late Aug on a concrete pad with little shade means you have to be cognizant of the extreme heat. My airport is small, all the rental places are in one spot in the parking garage, so I was not expecting how Houston is structured. Bring water and eat before you go so you're fresh as a daisy driving off in a new car experience, double check the app communication works before you leave the airport. Carlos' Maserati is the experience to cheer up a occasion. I've driven 6,000 vehicles, but not a Maserati Ghibili, until this weekend. 😃 What was a Celebration of Life/Family Reunion made more memorable in a neat car. The little kids enjoyed a ride to breakfast, and gave em something to brag about to their siblings and cousins. That's what this host is offering, an experience for you and the people around you. This is why you should choose Carlos and his Maserati Ghibili. My experience this weekend was really chill and fun. It was short and you're just drivin to place and another place with little to experience it with other than a ride, so i will rent from Carlos if his car available this coming season. In my home state, 55mph highway speed and the jump to Texas' 70mph would have felt more challenging, less comfortable in a car that isn't made to easily cruise GT style at 70mph. Carlos' Maserati is, it's serviced, the parts work and kept in excellent condition. I also liked that you can feel the engine alittle bit with no annoying drone. I used 10 galloms of gas and put on 199 highway miles over the 3 days going to Galveston and back. So, $50 in fuel... The interior smells like a new car and well kept. Carlos choose a carwash that will do it all, the full service, just pull up and they get it done. Carlos Preprogrammed radio made it easier to settle-in and use a new car that I'm unfamiliar with. Oh sure its a used vehicle and has a few unnoticeable scratches and normal wear signs. But this made me feel more comfortable, almost as if it's someone personal car, so you really felt like you borrowed a friends car for a special occasion rather than renting a from a corporate conglomerate. I would recommend the additional insurance coverage for few reasons. 1) these Maserati's are heavy and require almost a truck-like or heavy Electric Vehicle type of car control. 2) there are people who see these and just speed all around you, you can't control others actions 3) there are roughly 30,000 produced over the years, i just happened to meet a white Ghibili owner heading into Walmart(we parked next to each other, she told me her experience) it was fun, let's keep them on the road. Carlos was a phenomenal host. Made picking up and dropping off very easy and simplified. I’ll definitely be renting from Carlos only, when I’m in Texas. Thanks my good brotha, much appreciated!!!
