The worst experience I have had on Turo. When we got the car it reeked of weed, like it had been hot boxed right before we picked it up. Our flight came in late and we did not have a ton of options so we took the vehicle. A little over 24 hrs later and under 150 miles of total travel, a generic maintenance warning light comes on and the vehicle gets a flat tire. I call the host and he tells me to get the tire changed and oil changed and he will reimburse me. There was no way I was addressing differed maintenance on the vehicle, with a pinky promise that the host would pay me back. I spent the entire day on the phones with Turo sorting it out and getting a replacement vehicle. I would NEVER book with this host again!
I’m sorry your experience didn’t meet expectations. A prior renter returned the vehicle late and with an odor, leaving us under an hour to clean before your pickup. We did our best, but it clearly fell short, and we sincerely apologize.
I offered to cover the cost to minimize disruption, but I respect your choice to go through Turo Support.
For peace of mind, car passed a certified State Inspection, results were shared directly with you. Changes have been made to prevent this from happening.
