Hey welcome! I want to make sure you have an amazing experience, so please take a few minutes to review guidelines before hitting the road. To make things super convenient, you’ll be using the Tesla app as a phone key to unlock and drive the car. Here’s how to set it up: Step 1: Download the Tesla App Search for "Tesla" in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) and download the app. Step 2: Create an Account If you don’t already have a Tesla account, go ahead and create one using your email. Step 3: Let Me Know Once It’s Set Up Once your account is ready, send me the email address linked to it. I’ll then add you as a temporary driver so you can access the car via the app. Step 4: Using the App as a Key Once added, you’ll see the vehicle in the app and be able to: Unlock/lock the car Drive the vehicle Control climate, check charge, and more. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on, and allow the Tesla app to run in the background so it connects to the car automatically when you're near it. Charging: You can use Tesla Superchargers (fees apply). Or use the plug share app to find free charging stations near you. Charging Fees: Any Supercharging or idle fees incurred during your trip will be billed after your rental ends. 2. Driving & Features Acceleration: This is the Performance model — it’s very quick. Please drive responsibly. Autopilot: Basic Autopilot is enabled. Keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road at all times. Regenerative Braking: The car slows when you lift off the accelerator. It may take some getting used to. Touchscreen Controls: Nearly everything is controlled via the central screen, including climate, mirrors, and navigation. 3. Rules & Reminders No Smoking or Vaping: No Pets: (to keep it clean and allergy-free) Toll Roads: To use toll roads, charges will be billed after your trip. Return Clean: Please return the car in the same clean condition you received it in. A Handheld vacuum is there if needed. A light exterior rinse is appreciated if it gets muddy or dusty. 4. Emergency Info Tesla Roadside Assistance: Available 24/7 through the Tesla app or screen for issues like flat tires or lockouts.
