As an added convenience the car does not need to be charged before returning. Seats 4 comfortably with room for a car seat or booster seat in the 5th spot. Includes Michigan State Park Pass that gets you admission to any state park in Michigan for FREE! Stay connected with Apple Carplay and Android Auto capability for hands free driving and streaming your favorite tunes, just plug in your device to the cable and you are all set! You can always charge it anywhere there is a public charging station with a SAE J1772 plug for an extra 30-35 miles without using a drop of gas. Especially thrifty for stop and go city driving. Airport pickup/drop-off and other locations in town available for a small fee which is reduced with week or longer rentals. Ask about longer terms. Does the car need to be charged before returning?
We would appreciate if the car was returned with a full or almost full charge but it is not a requirement. The gas tank must be full or at the same level it was upon pickup.
Do I have to worry about the battery level?
No, once the battery gets low the gas engine turns on and keeps the car running. If you are driving on slower city streets it will run in a hybrid mode even if the battery needs to be recahrged.
Can I charge the car at public charging stations?
Yes, if it has a compatible plug and voltage, you will be all set to go. Some stations are free of charge!
Does the car use special gas?
No, it runs on regular 87 octane unleaded gasoline
