Sparingly used Chevy Bolt is being offered for your comfortable drive. Fully electric, goes around 220-250 on a single charge. I will always give you a charge of at least 70% state of charge unless you inform me before you trip that you would like a 90% state of charge. I try to avoid charging to 100% because that will degrade the battery and range faster. I would request not to smoke or put a pet inside the car “please” I always respond to my customers spontaneously so feel free to contact me “anytime”

Kevin’s instructions were very straightforward and the car was in great shape when we picked up. Ran great the entire time and Kevin was very responsive. Only problem was, when driving back to the airport to drop off the car, the address to the parking lot took us to an empty grass field next to the airport. We had to find our own way back to the economy parking lot. That should be a quick fix though for future renters

The Chevy Bolt is a good car, but I had two main issues with the rental: charging and location of the pickup and drop off.
Charging:
Despite using several apps to find charging stations, there was only one compatible fast charger within 30 miles of northern Orlando. It was a single charger, so I waited a while for another car to finish charging. Then, even with the EVgo fast charger, it only put out about 15kw, so it took almost 4 hours to charge the car to 80%. EVgo only lets you charge for up to an hour at a time, so I needed to unplug and plug the car back in several times. After the first time, the charging station software crashed and I needed to get on the phone with EVgo to have them remotely reboot the station. Meanwhile, I looked at other charging stations within 30 miles, but they all only put out about 6kw, which means you'd need to leave the car for over 12 hours to charge to 80%. Tesla’s charging network is much better, and probably the biggest reason to use a Tesla instead of another EV. A Tesla charging station usually has plenty of fast chargers, and the car can charge to 80% in about 40 mins (and even costs less). Because the car took so long to charge, I ended up returning the car late and paid an additional $90 for the late return. I even would have been late for my flight--if it hadn’t been delayed.
Car pickup and drop off:
The other issue was the location of the car, which was deep within a gated community, and I needed a QR code to get through two checkpoint gates. The host said he texted me a QR code, but it didn't come through, and when I let him know it didn’t come through, he didn't respond. Overall, I wish he had let me know that this was going to be a tricky pickup location, because I would have set up a different one. He had offered to drop the car at the airport, but it would have been a hefty additional fee. I asked about setting up a different pickup location, but he never responded, thereby sending the implied message that he didn’t want to deliver it anywhere else. The host was nice enough, but I would say his style is curt and not especially helpful for friendly.
I wouldn’t recommend renting a Chevy Bolt near Orlando, and I would advise renting from another host who is more accommodating.
I have 4 Teslas so I agree tesla charging infrastructure is the best right now. The Bolt uses CCS fast charging which all new electric cars except Tesla uses so I agree you should stick with Tesla. Now you chose the free location in my community and sometimes choosing the free option will lead to inconveniences and not understanding how electric cars work will be the double whammy. The Bolt gets to close to 300 miles on one charge and has CCS DC fast charging so in the future I recommend reading
