Horrible experience. The car had multiple problems, most of them safety issues. He swapped it out for another car that was even worse, and I found myself driving in the night, in the rain with children, only to realize the defroster and AC didn’t work. I had to have all the windows down in the pouring rain to be able to see out the windshield. The other car had multiple lights on the dashboard, including the check engine and airbag lights. We agreed on a spot to leave the car at the end of the trip, and after leaving the car there and “ending” the trip on Turo, he handed everything over to Turo who told me I was late returning the car, and that I returned it in the wrong location, and charged me an additional $90+ without notifying me. They also sent an invoice for a refueling charge, when I returned the car with more gas than it originally had. I’m currently disputing all of thus. Edward’s cars are unsafe, he is dishonest, and I would strongly advise against renting from him. It added so much stress to my vacation, and I spent the entire time driving around with my children feeling very unsafe.

My rental from Ed was very mixed. I liked him and he worked hard to meet our needs. However, it seemed like he was in over his head and unable at this particular moment to manage his multiple car and rental related services efficiently. He was unable to inspect the first car he gave us between the last rentor and us. It ended up having multiple mechanical issues and we had to swap out to a second car and later a third as he needed the second one back for another rental. He was kind, apologetic, and worked hard to fix the issues that came up. But he was so overworked he forgot to be available to provide the end of trip free ride back to the place we were staying as he had promised (when he realized this he offered to credit me an Uber).I like his prices, location, and the economy cars in his fleet. I also appreciated having a reasonably priced car available in this tight market. But perhaps he needs to hire help or leave more slack in his small fleet for when things out of his control occur. I am willing to give him another try, but hope the next time things go more smoothly.
