Guidelines

Well-behaved dogs welcome - we have a backseat insert available to keep your dogs in place (just ask). No cats. Other pets or animals please ask first! Vehicle may not be taken out of Colorado without prior approval. Rules and Expectations: 1. We use this car, too! Please treat it like you would treat something of your own that you care about. 2. We take good care of and regularly maintain the car so that it will be safe and mechanically sound. Please let us know right away if you notice any mechanical issues or if the car is damaged. Notify us through the app, or text us so that we can get you on back on your way as quickly as possible. 3. We want your rental to start with a full tank of gas in a clean car, inside and out. We’d also like the same for the next renter, so please return the vehicle clean and gassed up. 4. We want you, everyone else on the road, and our car to be safe and to stay in one piece. All vehicle occupants (driver and all passengers) must wear seat belts at all times. Please drive sober – drinking or getting high before or while driving is dangerous. Also, it's stupid. Don't be stupid. 5. Do not smoke or vape anything in the car. 6. Do not use the car for any illegal activities. 7. Do not drive the car on any unpaved roads or off-road. Pre-trip & Check out: 1. Before you check out your rental, we’ll have taken photos of the interior and exterior of the car, along with pictures of the odometer and fuel gauge. You are welcome to do the same for your own protection. 2. At check-out, we’ll check your driver’s license and take a photo, and unless we're doing a remote key handoff, we'll do a walk-through of the car with you. During your trip: 1. Refueling/Gasoline: This car uses regular unleaded gasoline; 85 octane is fine here at altitude. To open the gas door for refueling, pull up the lever with the gas symbol – it’s to the left and below the steering column. Fill gasoline on the passenger side of the vehicle. 2. Insurance & Registration: These will be located in the glove compartment. 3. Traffic Tickets: Try not to get them; Colorado police tend to enforce speed limits pretty strictly. If you do get pulled over, roll down the front windows, turn off the engine, and place your hands on the wheel until the officer says otherwise. Be polite and respectful to the officer. 4. Parking Tickets: If you get a parking ticket, please take a photo and send that to us, then pay for the ticket per Turo policy. 5. Accidents: Colorado law requires that all accidents be reported to law enforcement immediately. Police will only be dispatched to the scene if a vehicle is disabled, there are serious injuries or fatalities, there is suspicion of intoxication, there is a hit and run, or there is damage to public property. If you are able to move the vehicle safely, move the car out of the roadway. Confirm that there are no injuries, but do not admit fault. Fill out an incident report form (in the glove box), take photographs of all involved vehicles and property, and of other persons involved. Please contact us and Turo right away. 6. Flat tire: Do not fill the tires with anything other than air or nitrogen—please no “flat fix.” There is a “donut” sized spare tire in the trunk, along with a jack and lug wrench. If you don’t know how to change a tire, please call for roadside assistance. 7. Tolls: There are toll roads and toll lanes in Colorado. There is a toll pass in the vehicle, so you will get the discounted rate for "TollPass" instead of the higher "PlatePass" rate. You are responsible for reimbursing us for any toll charges, and usually we'll let you know the amount when you return the car. Ending your trip & Check-in: 1. Wash: Unless you prepaid for cleaning, you will be asked to take the car through the car wash before returning the vehicle. The wash is already paid for as part of your rental. If the car is returned unwashed, you may be charged the amount of the pre-paid cleaning fee. 2. Refuel. Bring the car back with a full tank, please. 3. Return on time: Bring the car back to at the appointed time. If you expect to be early or late, please let us know so that we can make any necessary arrangements.

For the first time experience using the app, was pretty straightforward and went well. Ben is an awesome dude, he came through and communicated effectively when I needed it so I appreciate that a lot. I’ll recommend to anybody wanting a good ride in his car
