Description

My Chevy Volt and its electric engine are perfectly suited for your trips within the Mile High City! This is a great car for someone new to electric. The main concern with many EV's (older Nissan Leafs, especially) is range anxiety. With the Chevy Volt's gasoline range-extender, you need not be concerned and can travel at least 200 miles (approximately) or more even without a charge with the 10 gallon gas tank. Electric cars are quicker and more comfortable to drive than their fossil-fuel internal combustion counterparts and I want you to have a chance to experience this for yourself! The car's back seats fold down and thus perfect for your winter gear if going to the mountains. Also has a great set of tires. EV's are a little bit heavier than conventional cars and often do better if there happens to be snow or ice accumulating on the roads. Will include a charger with adapter that can be hooked up to any conventional AC 110-120v outlet that has at least 15 amps available. The Chevy Volt has a 17KWh battery that takes about five hours to charge. Using this, you can drive something like 40 miles on the battery alone. After that, you won't notice anything different except for some extra noise from the gasoline range extender. In this mode, your MPG's can be anywhere between 20 - 40 mpg depending on how much you use the climate control and how you drive. I pride myself on great customer service, so check out my reviews and I'm looking forward to working with you!

Parking details

If picking up the car from the airport, easiest to take rideshare using the address provided, but I can also provide local light rail & bus instructions. I will provide lots of pictures and exact car location after I validate the selfie picture with your drivers license.

Guidelines

I recommend checking out all that the “Mile HIGH City” has to offer, but be responsible and discreet (AND no smoking or vaping in the car). You do not have to charge the vehicle while it is in your possession but please keep the charger and the vehicle secure and only use PREMIUM octane for the gasoline range-extending generator.

Luke had great communication throughout my trip. He was friendly and accommodating. I was in town for a funeral, unfortunately, and didn’t need any additional stress. Luke made sure I had one less thing to worry about. Highly recommend.

Luke's response

Thanks, I’m glad the Volt worked well for you and thanks for taking care of it.

This was an unfortunate experience. I had never used Turo so I thought I’d give it a shot. I’ve done a ton of traveling and used many different companies for rental cars. The car was parked very far from the main terminal and because of Covid there weren’t many shuttles running (it was a solid 15 min walk). Also, I have Verizon and it is a complete dead zone for where this car was parked. As a result, I could not get on the app or contact Luke when trying to get into the car. I was also given the wrong lock code so I could not get in the car and because it was a dead zone for my cell service I had to walk all of the way back to the main terminal. This mishap cost me a massive meeting I flew here for and almost ruined my trip. Luke responsed about an hour later but it was a nightmare. He was very apologetic which I appreciated- mistakes happen, but it was a perfect storm. I was then asked to have the car washed before returning it in addition to filling the tank. I have never been asked to wash a car upon its return for rentals. Luke was kind to reimburse me $35, but I lost an entire day due to all that went wrong and missed my meeting. I will not be using Turo again.

Luke's response

Turo is not for everyone. I did mess up with the wrong lockbox code but it is unreasonable to think I am at my phone 24/7 to save you from your poor trip planning. Also, that is pretty reckless to leave my car unsecured at the airport. Like a lot of Americans, I am one stolen car away from being ruined financially.
