Description

The 2011 Subaru Legacy has a more grown up look to it, providing the sportiness we have come become accustomed to but with a more mature style. But with any design change, some find the new look to be a step backward. The Legacy's larger dimensions and clever interior packaging provide much more usable room on the inside, and the cabin materials and overall build quality have been improved. The new Legacy has 3.9-inches of increased rear legroom and 9.5 cubic-feet of a The outdated four-speed automatic transmission is gone, replaced with a five-speed unit. Subaru's Lineatronic CVT that is working its way through its lineup is a capable continuously variable transmission. A six-speed manual is also available depending upon configuration. The updated 3.6-liter H-6 now gives the Legacy the much needed torque that the outgoing 3.0-liter six lacked. You really notice this when leaving a stop light or making a pass on the freeway.

As I was returning the car, some dash lights came on and I had some braking issues. Pulled into a gas station and called Mike. He responded immediately and came to the car to assess the situation. He was very prompt and responsible. Up until that point the car ran excellently. There was a rattle but as a past Subaru owner I knew this was common due to their exhaust shield.

Mike was exceptional! Answered all our questions and was very accommodating, especially when we got stranded at the end of our trip and needed to reach the train station. No complaints about the car, it worked great throughout our weekend.

Mike's response

Thank you drake. I try to accommodate whenever possible. It’s guests like you that make this worthwhile.

Unprofessional all around. You can't attempt to pass blame and responsibility on the customer for check engine, traction, and brake lights flashing on. Huge disappointment from Turo and company. Won't be using this service anymore.

Mike's response

It’s unfortunate that the dummy lights came on while the vehicle was in your possession. It is a machine and things happen. But on the bright side of things. You were not left stranded. It was still driveable. It didn’t drive any differently from when you picked it up. And you still managed to get back from 1 1/2 hrs away. As well as put 400 miles on it. I have had it checked out. Turned out to be a faulty o2 sensor. And has since been repaired.

Mike was professional and easy to work with. Would definitely rent from him again! Car had a slight rattle sound but otherwise no issues.

Mike's response

Thank you Sharon. Great having you.

The car had a low tire light. I took it to get it checked and the tire was irreparable. I called the owner and was told to run on the spare tire. I had several issues with this car. At the end the owner of the car reimbursed me the expenses of me buying a new tire. But then as I dropped the car, the oil warning light came up.

Mike's response

You know. William was a great guest. And I was not expecting such a bad review from him. He mentions several issues. But the only issue was the tire. I initially told him to use the spare until we get things sorted out. He took the car to a shop and they wanted to replace 2 tires at the cost of $400. He sends me a picture of the estimate they gave him. And it said it was for a different car. I thought there may have been some funny business. My driveway is steep so that caused the low oil
