Description

This car needs no introduction. The Tesla Model 3 is one of the most anticipated cars in recent history. Why? It blends style, practicality and performance with a sensational all-electric platform, all at a price significantly less than previously possible. With 5 seats, a panoramic all-glass roof, ample storage in trunk AND “frunk,” a 300 mile range, enough power to (silently) zip from 0-60 MPH in 5 seconds, and a snappy 15” touchscreen interface, it’s safe to say this car is the future. And you get to experience it first hand. This car is Long Range, rear wheel drive, and has Autopilot. Inspired to join the Tesla club? Guidelines

GENERAL GUIDELINES 1) Drive attentively and be careful - this is a quick car, and all of the power is available at any time, so pay extra attention until you get used to it. 2) If you experience any mechanical or technical issues with the car, please message me using Turo, or call my cell if it’s urgent. 3) If you are in an accident or have an emergency, CALL 911 - you can sync with me later when all parties are confirmed safe. 4) MOST IMPORTANT: Be SAFE and have FUN - My goal is for you to have a great rental experience, and for that safety is paramount. RULES 1) Absolutely NO smoking in the car 2) No pets in vehicle 3) Please return the car in CLEAN condition inside and out REIMBURSEMENT For reference, here is a list of things I will be asking reimbursement for: - Charging - Please return the car with the same range it had when you rented it (e.g. if it has 250 miles of range when you pick it up, return it with 250 miles of range). If you return the car with reduced range, I will ask for reimbursement at $3 per 50 miles of missing range, which is the Tesla Supercharger price. - Low Range - Please make sure the car has at least 100 miles of range when you return it. If you return the car with less than 100 miles of charge left, I will need to charge it before the next rental. As a result, I will charge $3 per 50 miles (up to the range it had when you picked it up) PLUS a $30 convenience fee for my time.

Faqs

  • How do I charge the car?

The Tesla Model 3 has a built-in charge-location tracker. On the 15” display, on the left side of the interactive map, there is an electricity icon -- press it to display all nearby Tesla Superchargers (red on the map) and regular EV charging stations (gray on the map) There are multiple ways to open the Model 3’s charge port. The two easiest ways are to 1) simply press the the cover (rear driver’s side, adjacent to tail light) while the car is unlocked, or 2) press the charge icon from the main menu while the vehicle is in Park. TESLA SUPERCHARGING If you are at a Tesla Supercharger station, simply plug the Supercharger cord into the Model 3 charge port to begin charging. (Note: Tesla Supercharging costs about $3 per 50 miles of juice. I will ask for reimbursement for any Supercharging at the end of the rental period.) THIRD PARTY EV CHARGING You can also charge at ANY EV charging station -- simply use the Tesla power converter, located in trunk, and attach that to the end of any standard charging cord. Note: you will need mobile phone payment capabilities for many third party EV chargers

  • Is this car equipped with "Autopilot"?

Yes, this car is equipped with the standard "Autopilot" option, which includes adaptive cruise control and "autosteer." Does not include self-parking or "Navigate on Autopilot."

  • How do I access the owner's manual?

You can access the Tesla Model 3 Owner’s Manual by pressing the [T] logo at the top of the display. This car is extremely easy to operate, and a DREAM to drive. However, Tesla does many things differently compared to normal car companies, and certain functions can take some getting used to. If you need help with ANYTHING at any point, do not hesitate to contact me.

  • How do I access and start the car?

This car comes with the new Model 3 key fob (instead of the key card). In order to unlock the car, press the roof of the key fob (it's shaped like a Model 3) twice, once to lock. To open the trunk or frunk, press the rear or front of the key fob twice, once to lock. Once inside the car, if you unlocked it with the key fob, simply put your foot on the brake pedal, and put the car in drive or reverse to start driving. (NOTE: If you are inside the car, and it asks for the "key card" to start—usually because the car was already unlocked when you entered— press the top of the key fob twice to engage the fob and "start" the car). The drive-selector stalk is on the right side of the steering wheel. Down for “Drive,” up for “Reverse,” push in for “Park” (Push in and hold for parking brake). There is no “on” or “off switch.” To exit the car, from the front or the rear, there is a black button with a white line on the top of each door handle. Press that button and the door opens. If the car is completely out of battery power, and the door buttons do not work, there is a mechanical latch at the front end of the armrest on each door (note: this latch should only be used in emergencies. It should not be routinely used to open the doors). When you leave the car, simply take the key card with you, and again place the card on the B-pillar to lock the doors. To access the trunk or front-trunk (frunk), enter the car and reference the main menu on the left side of the display.
