How do I use the Quickpass Flex HOV feature?
If you have 3 or more people in the vehicle, you can move the switch on the transponder to the right (HOV ON). This will allow you to use the I-77 Express lanes with no charge. If you have fewer than 3 people in the car, make sure that the switch on the transponder is switched to the left (HOV OFF). You will be charged the rate shown on the signs (will be added as an incidental after the trip). Note that if you attempt to use the express lane with fewer than 3 people in the car and the HOV switched to ON, the cameras on the roadway will detect that you are using the HOV feature incorrectly and you will be charged anyway.
Why don't I hear the engine when I start the car?
If you have not driven a hybrid vehicle before, it may seem a bit odd when you push the start button and the lights on the dash come on but you don't hear the engine start. This is, however, normal with a hybrid car. A lot of fuel savings comes by not running the gas engine while the car is stopped. Everything in the car runs off of the hybrid battery at this time. The car will begin moving using its electric motor, and the engine will be started when the car is moving fast enough. In addition, if the vehicle is stopped for a period of time and the hybrid battery has used most of its charge (as seen by the indicator on the left of the instrument cluster) then the engine will be started to recharge the battery. This is normal.

I completely recommend booking with James. He was a great host, he was able to answer all the questions I had. The car was clean and well taken care of, to include he even had chargers in the car for the guest to use. Pick up and drop off was easy, both contactless.

Obtaining the car was fine. But returning it to the owners was one of the worst nightmares. A person could have they knew I was returning the car after I called them an hour before letting them know and when I arrived at their house, they open the garage door and let the dog out my wife and I were a fairy afraid because the dogs were charging us as to attack owner came out there hesitantly before retrieving the dog

I am sorry you had less than a 5-star experience. We were very glad to be able to provide our car to Markus with only one-hour notice when none of the other rental companies had cars available. Unfortunately, due to the late notice, I was away during the car return process and my son inadvertently let the dog out of the garage when he went to greet the guests. He then panicked when he realized what he had done. I sincerely apologize and this will not happen again.

The car quality was great. Contactless pickup worked great for my schedule so the host didn’t have to wait for my arrival. The communication was great and made me feel comfortable to know if I needed anything, I would get a timely response.
