For a budget car rental getting around the immediate Chicago area, this was not a bad car, but I could definitely tell it was 14-year-old car. Amna is very communicative and responds quickly to messages - the car was easy to find and there was no hassle picking up or dropping off. This is my second time renting from him (the first time was a different car).
Driving this car on local streets was fine, but driving on the highway wasn’t the smoothest experience, and two dashboard indicator lights went on within a couple of hours of my trip (they were not dire indicators).
The interior was clean but stained in places and there was one cigarette burn.
I’m 51 and prefer cars with analog features (so this part isn’t a complaint), but for those who have never driven a car without a backup camera or the ability to hook up their phones as direct aux to the radio this may be a difficult choice.
When I rented from Amna before with a much newer car, I drove to Wisconsin and had an excellent experience. I’d probably rent this one again if I needed a budget-friendly rental for a local trip where I didn’t go far.
