James was a great communicator and the car was perfect for our 5 day stay. Great gas mileage, leather seats, and AC for the heat of Charleston.

The good: The car was absolutely fabulous. Well-maintained, comfortable, immaculate. Air conditioning worked superbly. The Not so Good: air freshener was too strong, but hard to find fault with that. Host was 15 minutes late meeting us when we arrived at the airport. Did not apologize. The Bad: host never showed up at the airport to claim his car. I waited 45 minutes where he had asked me to meet him. I messaged him at 11:20. He did not reply nor answer his phone. VM full. He messaged me at 11:36 (my flight began boarding at 11:39) through the app. He apologized and reported that his other car had been stolen with his phone and personal items inside, so he had no way to get in touch with me. He did not inquire about the whereabouts of the Maxima until later. I decided that in lieu of having the car towed, the safest thing to do was to leave his car in the airport parking garage with the key locked inside the gas cap compartment, and messaged him the # of the parking space. The Worst: TURO team reachable only via chat. The wait for an agent was over 30 minutes. The phone # provided looped me through a menu that did not address my issue. There was no one to advise me of any protocol that exists to ensure that I was not held liable for anything that might have happened to the car after I left. The host offered to reimburse me $35 for my “inconvenience.” P.S. I will not be using TURO again.

I came to town for a wedding. James met me at the airport which made pick up and drop off of the car extremely convenient. The car was nice and clean and James was very accommodating. I would rent from him again. Thank you!
