Description

Gas prices suck, go electric! CRNCHY is a Dual Motor AWD Model 3 that gets ~320 miles on a full charge. You can travel farther without breaking the bank. Typical “fill-up” costs about $20-30 and can be done in under 45 minutes at one of Tesla’s Superchargers in their vast Supercharger network. If you travel long distances, use the built in navigation and the car will route you to Superchargers and tell you just how long you need to stay at each one along the way. Loss of a keycard is subject to a $35 incidental fee.

Small cooler that fits in the sub-trunk. You supply the snacks/ice.

$45/day

Pet fee

A required pet liner will be provided. You are responsible for any damage to the upholstery caused by your pet.

$25/day

Guidelines

No smoking or eating in the vehicle. Seriously. No car seats or booster seats permitted. They can cause damage to the upholstery and a hefty claim. Teslas are wider than you think and that curb is closer than you think. Be careful parking next to curbs and entering/exiting driveways. A damaged rim costs between $200-$750 to repair/replace. Err on the side of caution. Vehicle’s speed is monitored remotely and if the vehicle is seen to be grossly exceeding the speed limit it will be limited for the remainder of the trip at our discretion.

Faqs

  • Can I smoke, vape, or eat in the car?

No. Absolutely not. No way, no how. Go dirty up someone else’s car, like your own.

  • Can I drink in the car?

Yes. Non-alcoholic beverages with lids are acceptable. This thing can take off like a rocket and open cups are subject to rapid fluid evacuation and a $100 cleaning charge.

  • Can I really charge for free?

Yes. There are numerous free places to charge on L2/destination chargers. It is slower than a charging at a Supercharger, but hey, it's free. If you’re stopping to go shopping, grabbing dinner, or staying overnight at a hotel, it’s a great way to get a few extra miles for free. You can find free chargers on the PlugShare app. Setup the filter to only show “Tesla”, “Tesla (fast)”, and “J-1772”. Then turn off the option for “Show Locations That Require Payment”. Availability of free charging is not guaranteed.

  • Can I bring my dog?

Yes We required that you use the included pet liner along with the Pet Cleaning Extra in the listing. Failure to do both of the above will result in a significantly increased cleaning fee. There are also breed and size restrictions. Please don't hesitate to ask about your fur baby!

  • Can I use a car seat or booster seat?

No. They are not permitted. They cause damage to the upholstery and evidence of use will result in a damage claim. Repairing damage to the seats costs between $500 and $3,000.

  • Does unlimited miles mean I don't have to pay for any fill-ups?

No. While this rental comes with unlimited miles but you are responsible for all Supercharging and toll fees. Charging and toll fees will be submitted after completion of the trip for reimbursement. NOTE: Superchargers are about the size of a traditional gas pump while Tesla branded destination chargers are closer to the size of a book. Charging costs are set by the location's owner, not Tesla. Please check with the owner before using. See information below about how to charge for free.

  • How should I charge it?

It's OK if the battery drops below 10% while on your trip and your next stop is a Supercharger. However, do not let the car sit with the battery below 10% as it can cause damage to the battery pack. Running it down to 0% will cause it to shut down and require a tow (and associated fees). If you're on a road trip, use the built in navigation. It will navigate you to Tesla Superchargers along your route as well as tell you how long you need to charge for to make it to the next stop. Just make sure to add a few extra minutes on your last Supercharger stop so the on-board security system, 'Sentry Mode', has enough to make it overnight. If you're not sure where your journey is going to lead you, you can charge to 80% and have plenty of range. Charging times increase as the battery fills up, meaning that charging 20-60% takes just as long as 95-100% If you're at an overnight destination, see if there are any Tesla Destination chargers or generic Level 2 chargers you can use. Most chain hotels have some sort of chargers available. If it's a Tesla Destination charger, just plug it in. If it's a generic L2 charger, use the included J-1772 adaptor and plug it in. Be sure to remove the adaptor and place back in the trunk or you will be charged for it. There is no need to worry about how high to let it charge at free destination chargers. Some locations have a time limit so you should verify the terms of use.

  • Is there a parking fee at SMF?

Yes. $2 per 1/2 hour for each half hour or part thereof $12/day maximum We will deliver the car the Daily Lot - Terminals A&B at your scheduled trip time and you will need to pay to exit. Cash is not accepted at any parking lot booth so bring a card. We try to park in the EV parking which is just on the other side of the parking garage. If a spot is not available there when dropping it off, we will update you with the vehicle's location.
