It does you from point A to B. You get what you pay for! Car cleanliness/odor & communication about known key fob malfunction was lacking. Chris’ rapid message response, ease of pick-up/drop-off was appreciated.

The outside of the car was ok, little scratches here and there. Inside seats really need a cleaning, there was cigarette burn marks. Host was nice.

I wish my first experience with Turo would have been better. Overall Chris was great and did his best as he could to help us out. We originally booked the car for 6:30am. We arrived at the place where the app said and it was just an office building. We were pretty confused as there were no check in instructions besides 2 sets of what we believe were codes in the description box. After walking with our luggage all around the parking lot (and it’s a big one) we finally found the car. As there were no check in instructions and this being our first turo trip, we spent like 30min looking for a “key” that could not be found anywhere. We tried messaging Chris and calling him and no response. We continued searching the car like crazy until we found a lock box. We were excited and tried putting in the 2 codes that we found in the check in instructions. To our surprise, the codes didn’t work and we were already late to an appointment and we were really frustrated cause Chris was nowhere to be found or reached. We decided to give it one last shot and call him again and he finally answered. Turns out the code was different than the ones that were initially provided. The car was also dirty and had not been cleaned and it had a weird smell. Overall the car was good for a one day city trip and really convenient. I did notice that the acceleration was kind of weird, when I wasn’t pressing on the gas pedal the car was accelerating by itself. Then we were ready for check out and there were no instructions. We left the car where we found it and put the keys back in the lock box. I’ve never used a lock box before and since there were no check out instructions I did the obvious and put the key in the box and closed it. We left. Then hours later I got a text from Chris stating that we changed the code to the lock box and that he couldn’t get the key. I was surprised cause I did not do that. To not make the story any longer, turns out the key was jammed inside the lock box and was preventing it from opening. Dealing with all of this was pretty stressful and frustrating.

You never asked me for guest instruction either. The problem could be avoided if you ask me about it earlier before trip start and end. Ask owner earlier when you’re not sure of something upfront, especially when you’re new to something.
