No Pets: We ask this to ensure cleanliness for future guests as well as for their protection in the event that anyone has pet allergies. Pet hair is quite difficult to get out of the vehicle, so, as per Turo guidelines, we do assess a $150 cleaning fee in the event that we need to detail the car for pet hair removal. No Smoking: This policy covers the use of, but is not limited to, any tobacco or tobacco-related products, marijuana or marijuana substitutes, e-cigarettes, or personal vaporizers. As per Turo policy, a $150 fee + 3% processing fee will be assessed for smoking in the vehicle. Moreover, your account will be suspended. Fuel: It is no problem if you do not wish to refuel the tank or forget to refuel. We will upload a receipt and a $10 convenience fee will be added to the amount for our staff to refuel the vehicle. Additional note - Fuel is not considered full just because the gauge is near the fill line. Most gauges have several gallons of fuel to fill once they reach this line. It is important that you fill the tank close to your return point to ensure that no refueling fee is assessed. Mileage: It is no problem if you choose to drive the vehicle over the allotted mileage. You are allotted 200 miles per rental day. However, if you know you are going on a longer trip, you may want to purchase unlimited mileage. Mileage overage is calculated as price per day / miles allotted per day, and for longer trips, unlimited mileage will likely be cheaper. Tolls: There are more toll companies than we can count, and they all have different billing cycles. That being said, don't worry if you pass through other tolls, but the fee may not be assessed to you for weeks or even several months after your trip depending on how quickly the toll company bills us.
