Description

If you're flying into BOI for business or leisure, don't risk your trip's success with an inexperienced host that's still learning the Turo platform. I have a perfect record of delivering your Tesla to the airport on time, adjacent to the Boise air terminal...nobody delivers a car closer than me. I guarantee that you can exit the terminal and be on the road driving to your next destination in less than 3 minutes! It's contactless and keyless. My vehicle delivery system is easier to use than ordering a McDonald's Happy Meal. Same story on the return. You literally park the car where you picked it up and then walk 2 minutes and you'll be at the TSA checkpoint...it's that simple. I even cover the return parking fees! Okay, that's enough flexing on how proficient I am about my vehicle deliveries...let's talk about my Brand New 2023 Tesla Model 3! Nothing quite stacks up to the experience of driving a Tesla. Whether you’re looking to try it out before purchasing one, needing a vehicle that’s efficient, or just wanting the experience of driving a Tesla, this is definitely the vehicle for you! With an EPA estimated range of 272 miles, you’ll have more than enough charge to move around in the Treasure Valley for days. If you’re going to be here for longer than four days, then I’ll provide you free of charge with a Tesla mobile charger that will allow you to charge on a 110 V source. Lastly, I only charge $15 for a full battery recharge. If you bring the car back with more than a 20% charge and you select the recharge service, then I’ll take care of the rest. I want you to spend nearly all your time doing the things you need to do on your trip and not fussing around with the administrative tasks associated with a rental car. Note: Unfortunately, no out-of-state trips. I'm really sorry to have to limit my cars to Idaho, but I've had not one, but two disastrous trips where guests took my car across the state line and everything went badly. The only exception to this rule is Ontario, Oregon, that's fine, but otherwise I need the car to stay in Idaho.

Guidelines

🚭 NO SMOKING of any kind allowed! The hint of weed or cigarette smell will result in a $250 cleaning fee! I’m sorry for sounding harsh; I don’t have anything personal against smokers but I cannot allow ANY smoking in or around my car. 🚫 NO EXTREME DRIVING/ACTIVITIES ALLOWED! Excessive wear and tear caused by racing, drifting, track use or other extreme activities will be subject to additional fees! Tire tread depth levels will be measured pre and post trip. ⛔️ NO OFF-ROADING ALLOWED! Per Turo’s policy, any dirt road is considered “off-road”! As mentioned before, extreme activities will be subject to additional fees! Tire tread depth levels will be measured pre and post trip. 🐶 NO PETS. I love dogs and cats, just not in my car. As a former pet owner, I can attest to how they make wonderful companions. However, for the same reasons I cannot allow smoking in my vehicle, I cannot allow pets. If any evidence of your pet is found, a pet violation cleaning fee will be charged. 🚗 NO CURBING. Not sure why Elon and friends designed the Model 3 such that the rims protrude further than the tire, but that’s the way they work. A major downside to this design is “curbing” or “curb rash” whereby the alloy rims are easily scratched. Please, be very careful with parking next to hard surfaces like curbs. If wheel/rim damage occur during your trip. There will be a repair fee assessed for each wheel damaged. 🧹CLEANING VIOLATION. Some wear and tear is inevitable during a rental; however, it's important to treat the rented vehicle with care. Returning my Tesla with excessive dirt, significant stains, or with damage beyond normal wear and tear is not permitted. It's your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was received, excluding any pre-existing damage documented in the vehicle's listing.
🔋 Please bring the vehicle back with at least 80% battery charge level or you’ll be charged a recharging fee. ⭐️⭐️⭐️Here are some of the other uses & activities expressly PROHIBITED for any vehicle booked on Turo⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🚫 Permitting someone who’s not an Approved Driver to drive a vehicle booked via Turo 🚫 Allowing the vehicle to be pushed or towed by anyone other than an authorized law enforcement or service vehicle 🚫Using a vehicle booked through Turo -- to tow or push anything -- for “off roading” on undeveloped or unimproved roads in any race, test, or competition -- to engage in excessive speeding -- with the intention to cause damage, or with wanton, willful, or reckless disregard for safety -- to carry persons or property "for hire" or to carry persons or property for compensation or a fee* -- unless a trip has been booked — using the vehicle without a reservation or outside your trip time is unauthorized use -- during or as part of the commission of a crime or any other illegal activity or purpose -- while the driver is under the influence of: a) alcohol above the legal limit, or b) any drug or medication under the effects of which the operation of a vehicle is prohibited or not recommended -- when it has been loaded beyond its rated capacity or with more passengers than the vehicle has seat belts -- outside the 50 United States -- without a valid license, or if you do not meet our requirements for booking a car -- to transport any flammable, toxic, volatile, poisonous, dangerous, or illegal substances 🚫Making any unapproved alterations, additions, or improvements to any vehicle 🚫Smoking in the car 🚫Leaving a vehicle unattended while it is running or with the keys in the vehicle 🚫Making fraudulent reports about a vehicle or a host * Including, but not limited to, taxi services, TNC services, and/or parcel, food, or grocery delivery services.; You may, however, use the car for business purposes, such as attending meetings and carrying associated materials

FAQs

  • How do the dimensions of a Model 3 compare to a Model Y?

The Model Y's 187.0-inch length is only a couple inches ahead of the Model 3's 184.8-inch figure. They're even closer on the wheelbase front, with the Model Y's 113.8-inch span ahead of the Model 3 by just 0.6 inch. The Model Y is also 1.6 inches wider, and it offers an extra 1.3 inches of ground clearance.

  • Does your car have the new Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and if so, why does that matter?

Yes, my Model 3 has a new LFP battery! The four primary benefits of LFP batteries are: Benefit 1: Safety LFP batteries are among the safest types of lithium-ion batteries, with a low risk of overheating and catching fire. These batteries are less prone to thermal runaway and do not release oxygen if they catch fire, making them safer than other lithium-ion batteries. Benefit 2: Long Life Cycle LFP batteries have a longer lifespan than other types of lithium-ion batteries due to their low degradation rate. Meaning they can be charged quickly without significant battery damage, therefore leading to a longer lifespan. LFP batteries can also withstand a larger number of charge and discharge cycles, meaning they can last longer before needing to be replaced. Benefit 3: Cost-Effective The materials used to produce LFP batteries are also relatively cheap compared to other types of lithium-ion batteries. The main cathode materials used in LFP batteries are iron and phosphate, and they are in relative abundance in contrast to other battery metals. This makes them a cost-effective option for a variety of energy storage applications. Benefit 4: Environmentally Sustainable LFP batteries are environmentally sustainable because they are non-toxic and do not contain harmful heavy metals such as cobalt or nickel. The materials used in these batteries are easier to source ethically, which makes them a more sustainable option than other types of lithium-ion batteries.
