Description

Introducing the ELECTRIC Mini Cooper SE! A quick and fun classic with zero emissions. Although this car is small in size, it’s big on fun. If you are (6ft +) this may not be the best option for you as it is as its name implies- Mini. EPA estimated battery range of 110 miles is great for getting around the city but your range will vary depending on how you drive the car and outside temperatures. Driving slower is better to get close to the advertised EPA estimated range. If you are trying to do a long highway stretch, you will not achieve the estimated range because the range estimate is based on a combination of street and highway driving, not just highway driving at faster speeds. Level 3 fast charging on a 50kW DC Fast charger will get you 85% charge in about 35 mins and 100% in 90 minutes. If you do plan to take this vehicle on a road trip, please plan your route BEFORE you commit to this vehicle. You will need to check to see if there are chargers in the areas you will be visiting. Planning is absolutely required-you cannot just wing it. Fast charging stations in the surrounding area can be very inconsistent and it’s necessary to leave yourself an alternative route in case a fast charger is not working when you get to it. If this is your first time driving a shorter range electric car and you have no experience charging up an EV, please consider a different vehicle as this one may not suit your needs and you will be disappointed/frustrated with charging and lower range numbers. This car has a variety of driving modes. Green + mode turns off all of your climate control options but allows you to achieve a few extra miles. Cold temperatures reduce the overall range by 20%-30% as the battery uses the energy in the battery to keep itself within operating temperature and to heat/cool the cabin. This electric Mini is equipped with a 32.6kWh battery and charging at most DC fast chargers costs about 0.35 cents/kWh. So a full charge would run you less than $12. Most chargers make you pay a one time refundable connection fee if $10-$20 though so this costs should be factored in even though these chargers are refundable it usually takes 24hrs before the refund hit your account. Download the PlugShare app to find chargers all around the city. CCS = fastest chargers for this vehicle (35 mins to 1hr to charge). J-1772 plugs are slower and take 6-24 hours to fully charge the battery. Please consider purchasing the “prepaid EV” extra so you can drop the car off without having to fully recharge it and save time, especially if it’s an airport delivery where time is of the essence. Here is a list of the best and most reliable Fast Chargers around Cleveland. I recommend using these chargers and avoiding all chargers at car dealerships since they often do not work. If you end up on the side of the road with no charge, it would be best to contact Turo roadside assistance to have a flatbed tow truck tow the car to one of these charging stations. 17400 Holland Rd, Brook Park, OH 44142 ( Behind the Brookpark Recreation Center) - Charging station is currently offline. Don’t go here. Chargepoint- 14740 Lakewood Heights, Lakewood 44107 ( in the Winterhurst Ice Arema Parking Lot). Only one car can charge at a time here and there is often a line of cars waiting to charge. EvGo- 7949 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, Cuyahoga OH 44103, USA (Multiple Cars can charge at a time here but the location is not the safest) EvGo-50 Wall St, Beachwood, OH 44122, USA EvGo- 1371 Som Center Rd, Mayfield Heights, OH 44124, USA * Velion by Lincoln Electric, 228000 St. Clair Ave, Euclid, OH 44117 (2 Free chargers in the front of the building) -You will be responsible for the parking fee to exit the garage, which could be $23 if you select a delivery to CLE Airport. -Please consider purchasing the “prepaid EV refuel” extra to save time and drop off the car without fully recharging it and avoiding a hefty recharge fee

It was a nice car. But I don't recommend an electric car unless you know about them before hand. The whole experience because it was an electric car and I was ill advised before hand, was terrible. Not worth it at all. Recommended putting the word electric in introduction like 2022 mini Cooper electric 2 door. For new people like me I had no idea it was below. Definitely not a car to travel with I couldn't make my trip to New York which was why I need a car. It gets 90 miles on full charge and finding a charging station not easy. It's an hour to go from 50 to 109

Grey's response

I’m sorry you had this experience. I would like to highlight that all the recommendations you have are actually included. The word ELECTRIC is in the title. Additionally the car description and my first message to you explained charging infrastructure and the range of the vehicle. I even mentioned specifically how this car is not meant for long travel but rather city use. Unfortunatley I can post all the information in the world but it’s up to the renter to read it and see what they are getting.
