Guidelines

Delivery costs are waived for all trips over 2 week. You may also choose to prepay for charging, and washing so you don't have to worry about it when you return the car. I only ask you return with enough range to get to a charging station. Any Question - Please call 562-301-1446. 1. The car has to be returned in the same condition as received. Car interior and exterior photos will be taken before and after each trip. Please drive responsibly. Any damage done to the vehicle inside/outside is renter’s responsibility. 2. No smoking in the car. If the vehicle is smoked in, a FEE $250 will be applied. 3. No pets are allowed in the vehicle. Fee will be applied up to $250. 4. Any parking tickets or toll fees incurred during the rental period will be the responsibility of the driver. 5. **Please no automatic car washes.** This is a very expensive car and the automatic car-wash brushes may damage the body panels. Hand-wash only or just prepay to have us deal with the dirty car upon return. (Post cleaning options available) 6. Do not run out of battery. Contact me immediately if battery is depleted.   • How do I charge this car?

    You can easily charge the Model S with a standard wall outlet. Please download the Plugshare and Chargepoint apps to locate chargers in your area. SoCal has plenty but you need to plan a bit! Estimated charging time: Level 1 (120 volt): 60+ hours Level 2 (240 volt): 7-9 hours Supercharger (480 volt): 40 min to 90%; 70 min to 100% We will also include the Level 1 Charger that will be located in the front trunk. Level 1 charging typically take 60+ hours if the battery is empty. Please take care of the included charger as a replacement is $800.00 While charging in a SuperCharger, the charger will engage the locking pin and only when the charge is complete or cancelled the locking pin will dis-engage. Please do not forcibly remove the charger at anytime as this can damage the locking pin and charger. There is a fee for remaining at the supercharger after the car is at full charge.

  • Does delivery include both pick up and return?

    Yes, I will drop off the car for you and pick it up from you. You don't need to drop me off. I will arrange my own transportation.

  • What happens when I run out of electricity?

    The car will shut down and need to be towed to a charging station. Renters are responsible for towing fees. Please try to keep the car above 10% charge.

  • Where do I pick up if I land at LAX?

    For LAX pick up will be at the Aviation/LAX Metro Green Line Station at: 11500 Aviation Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045. From LAX, get on the "G" Shuttle and it will drop you off at this location for free. Car will be parked at this location, 2 miles from airport. Text me once you are at the car and send a picture of your driver's license; I will unlock the car remotely once I receive your driver's license picture. Key will be inside center console. Please contact me to coordinate pick-up or drop off if any issues arise: 562-301-1446

  • What should I do if I want to extend my rental?

    If you want to return the car early please contact me directly and I will arrange a way to get the car at your convenience. If you want to extend a trip, please request it through the app. I will always approve the request if the car is available.

  • What do I do if I damaged the car?

    If the car is damaged please notify me immediately. If you let me know of the damage during your trip I can assure you I will do my best to make sure you are charged the minimum. If you do not notify me of damage upon return, it will treated as an indication of you not wanting to work things out. The damage will be reported to Turo and they will assess their fees (if Turo mediates the damage claim they will charge a MINIMUM of $500).

  • Do I have to charge the car before returning it?

    Yes, the car must be returned with at least 100 mile range left or you will be charged a $40 fee. There are also supercharger idle fees from Tesla direct if you leave the car plugged in after it has fully charged. These fees will be forwarded to you, if incurred. You may also select the $25 Pre-Paid Charging Extra and not have to worry about charging prior to return.

  • Do I have to return the car clean?

    Car will be given clean, please make sure to return the car in same condition. Anything that requires more than a waterless wash and shakeout of car mats will be charged an appropriate cleaning fee. Chris prepared us for our trip with great videos explaining the car. Really appreciated Chris and would rent from him again. However our trip gets a four because the car was dirty and our pick-up process didn’t go as explained. The previous renter was granted an extension and dropped the car off at our pickup location. The car was dirty inside and out and clearly not wiped down according to the Covid procedure. Our pick-up didn’t go as instructed and we couldn’t get into the car as planned. After a few calls, Chris responded and we were on our way! Other than that, we had a great week cruising in So. Cal with our fam on Spring Break!
