I specifically asked for a physical key to the Tesla as I don’t really trust the Tesla app. He told me that they had a key, but then the day prior to the rental asked me to download the app and create an account so he wouldn’t have to give me a key. Having my phone as the only way to start the car left me stranded multiple times. Sometimes for several minutes, and once overnight. He was very difficult to get a hold of to resolve these issues. Don’t rely on messaging on the app to get any of this sorted out, just call the host. It’s the only way to get him to reply in a timely manner.
The car was not cleaned when I picked it up, there were multiple opened water bottles left in it and a couple of loose wires in the center console that I guess were an aftermarket LED kit? The car was fun, I’m not completely turned off of renting a Tesla in the future, but not from this host.

That is because you have to keep your bluetooth on all time to make the app work. Sorry for your bad experiance
