Description

This car has to be the best way to explore austin - top down for an early morning run out to the lake, top up if the heat cranks up for your back roads trip to get BBQ. The Boxster is Porsche's most intuitive and well balanced car, so you can experience the famous flat 6 without having to be a 911 expert. This Boxster is a 987 and definitely drives like it. Unless you have driven a Boxster before, you may be a little surprised by the noise of the engine right behind you and overall experience of a 987, which is very typical Porsche. If you are considering airport delivery, it's actually cheaper if you take a Lyft to the Porsche. It's usually only $15 each way, and the Porsche is in a nice part of town... I try very hard to be the easiest host on Turo. Try me out... 1. Create your turo account. 2. Enter your email and create a password to sign up or log in with Facebook. 3. Select rental location, the time and dates, and then find our vehicle. 4. Get pre-approved to drive by uploading a photo of your driver's license and credit card info. 5. Wait for approval.

Parking details

Pickup and drop off are easy - the Porsche is in a garage very close to Downtown with easy access. You'll return it to the same garage, where it has a reserved space. No need to find a parking spot.

Guidelines

- I added a TxTag for the car so that you can take it on tollways. Just let me know if you use it and I can add it to the invoice. - No smoking, no pets, no smoking pets. - Bring the Porsche back the way you picked it up, basically clean, full of gas and ready to go get some BBQ. - The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that deep down inside we ALL believe we are good drivers. prove me right.

Faqs

  • How do I lower the top?

To open/close the top, look for the large button that says "press" - that is the latch that secures the top to the body. there are switches to the right of the driver's seat that open and close the top. the top likes to be all the way up or all the way down.

  • Is there a trunk?

There are two trunks, front and rear. Both can be opened via the key, or the switches to the left of the driver's seat. the switches are electronic, so no need to use any force to operate them.

  • where is the gas cap?

The gas cap is on the passenger's side front fender. The Boxster takes Premium

  • I'm turning the key, and the car won't start.

The key has an orientation, so if the car is not starting, turn the key over. Also, you need to have your foot firmly on the brake pedal for the ignition to engage.

  • How do I change the position of the steering wheel?

There is a manual lever on the underside of the steering wheel. Disengage the lock and it will move. Don't forget to put the lock back into position before driving.
