Guidelines

- If you have any questions about charging, I'll help. I know more about charging in Austin than anyone, and I have learned the hard way. - you don't have to return the Bolt fully charged, but you do need to plug it in when you return it if it needs a charge. That's the trade off - you don’t need to bring it back charged, but you do need to leave it charging if it needs it. Seems fair. - No smoking, no pets, no smoking pets. - Bring the Bolt EV back the way you picked it up, basically clean, full of juice (or charging) and ready to go on another adventure - If you plan to leave the city (meaning Austin), its best to have a charge plan. Let me know if I can help. - The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that deep down inside we ALL believe we are good drivers.

Gregg was super easy to rent from, super convenient and I am thankful that I had an affordable rental option to get around town while my car was in the shop. No complaints at all. Super easy to extend my booking multiple times, so that was fortunate.

I did have an incident towards the end of this booking, and he was a little harder to get a hold of and was not as responsive as he was previously, but Turo dealt with it quickly once he responded.

A few things about this specific vehicle that I think would be helpful for someone deciding between his many options:

I chose this car over some others because it has about the same mileage as my car and I didn’t want to constantly worry about charging. It lasted about as long as expected. I got about 200 miles per full charge, but I had a pretty hilly commute for the week.

It takes a little bit of muscle to turn, and the shifter took me a minute to get used to. Slow down and make sure you’re actually in the gear you want to be in and always use the parking brake so you’re in the clear in case you’re not in the gear you thought you should be. Definitely glad I did. Another thing, the angle of the windshield is odd to me, the light reflects a lot.

Most importantly, it takes way longer to charge than I expected. I’ve never had to charge an electric vehicle before, but the chargepoint chargers in my apartment building only got it 40 miles in three hours. About 100 overnight. It was definitely a learning experience. For anyone wondering, you can get about 12 miles overnight from the emergency normal wall plug charger.
