(check the back of the keycard for visuals) To open/lock the car, tap the keycard to the driver side support column, under the camera. Door handles require you to push on the back part to make the front pop out (I usually push the back fatter part with my big opposing thumb and grab the front with the pinky side of my hand. It is like inverse surfer sign 🤙) To start the car, tap the keycard behind the center cup holder. (the dashboard will display animated instructions) Driving / Reversing / Parking: Gear changing lever is on the right. Down to drive, up to reverse and after stopping, press the lever button in to park, press and hold lever button for parking brake. ***CHARGING THE TESLA*** General Charging info: At the time of creating this post the fastest public way of charging a Tesla is by using a Tesla Supercharger. You can use the car dashboard map to find Tesla Superchargers located along your route they are marked as RED pins. If you get directions to the Supercharger, the car will condition the battery while you are on the way to the charger. This should make the process go by even quicker. You can also click the Lighting button on the map to get a view of charging stations nearby. Some destinations have EV charging stations, those slower but still add significant range to the vehicle. They are marked as GREY charging pins. When you go to a Tesla Charging station you just have to plug in and charge, you do not need to set up an account. ***Important*** At most Charging stations (Tesla or 3rd party). If you leave the car on charge after charging is complete you may incur idle fees, which can vary considerably. When renting this Tesla you can either: 1. You can add the Prepaid EV recharge Extra to your reservation. This allows you to pay for charging before your trip. 2. You can just charge at a Tesla charging station, my Tesla account will be charged and I will invoice you to reimburse me after your trip. 3. You can charge it at a 3rd party charger. There is an adapter in the trunk to attached to the charger(if you loose this adapter it will cost you $50 to replace). Some of these are free and some of them you have to pay for. (Vehicles returned with less than 20% charge could incur an extra service fee). ****Delivery**** Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport: If you need the car delivered to the North or South Terminal (based on your airline) at Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport, there is a $75 delivery fee and you will be responsible for parking. Although, I will park in the in the lowest cost lot (at the airport) this can fluctuate, due to the rare times when the economy lots close due to being full. Parking is capped at a maximum of $14 in the economy lot and $19 in the daily lot so I will try to there. For delivery from: 9am until 11pm - I will attempt to park the vehicle no more than 2 hours in advance and leave the parking ticket in the middle console. 11pm until 9am - I may have to park the car more than 2hrs in advance. When you return the vehicle, I will be responsible for parking, so leave the parking ticket in the center console, so I can pay upon my departure. Also, if you will be parking earlier than your scheduled end time, give me a heads up so I can pick it up earlier.
