I would reeeeeaaaaalllllly love to give this trip 5 stars, but it was the customer service for me sis. The car was GREAT! A few cosmetic dings, but overall, really nice! With clean & fresh smelling, stain free interior. It had ALL the bells & whistles! Touch screen display, Bluetooth capabilities, Back up camera & all. Best part was the $20 fill up! The week long trip ran an smooth as one could. The morning of the return is the culprit for the loss of the 2 stars! Murphy’s Law was in full effect as I set out @ 8:30am from Union City, Ga to ATHENS (1 1/2 hr drive) for a 10am return. Once I KNEW there was no possible way to be on time with road construction/lane closures & @ 1 point 45 mins of stand still traffic (which I took video of), I reached out to Andrea to extend the trip just 1 hour, with the explanation of the roads & traffic coming from Atlanta...in hopes to avoid a late fee. (Seeing as I had ALREADY spent $322,46). She denied it with what I took for $$ in her eyeballs! Lol I ended up paying $40.87 for being an hour late when the actual car rental cost for an entire day was only $28.50!?!? I’m still scratching my head at that one!! I reached BACK out to Andrea & informed her that her hitting me with additional fees was going to bounce my account up as the funds weren’t available....she didn’t care, did it before I got off the phone with cust support! I offered nothing but good energy, respectfulness, safe driving, cleanliness, newbie host tips for you when I picked up, & my $$$$! I feel like I got extorted in return....this is a Turo 1st for me. I’ve never ran an hour late before either, so maybe this is what comes with that. The few minutes I may have run late in the past, the host never tripped about. Especially not “fee tripping” after receiving the GIFT of more petro than you should have! I just have to laugh....& move on! I’m all for creating revenues of income as a college kid, lord KNOWS I did when I was in college.....but I implore you younger folks to have some sort of moral compass that you allow to be your guide throughout your journey! Karma is real, so I implore you to sow good karmic seeds. You just never know when you’ll be the person needing/wanting to be worked with! True indeed, I ran late, but once the severity of her actions (charging me additional $$ I told her I didn’t have) were explained to her & how much MORE money it was going to cost me, she STILL INSISTED on doing it. That’s the kind of karma that returns swiftly! To have ZERO compassion for the next human being the way you displayed Andrea, makes me pray really hard for you & folks like you! May God have mercy on your soul & please learn something from this experience baby....even if it’s Turo may not be for you. (More of a Turo complaint than a host complaint): I also left about a quarter tank MORE gas in her vehicle than was required....Turo told me that was my choice, that I wouldn’t be credited for that, yet pointed out to me that if it had one drop less than I received it with, I would have gotten hit with the “fuel fee” too! Absolutely astonishing....this is THE ONLY TIME I have EVER had an issue with a host or Turo since I began using them in 2017. I fear this is where we must part ways!
