  Once inside, use the touchscreen to create or select your profile. Adjust the seat using the controls on the side of the seat. Mirrors and steering wheel adjustments can be made through the touchscreen. Save your settings under your profile.

• Do I need to recharge the car before returning it?

  Yes, please recharge the car to the same level it was at pickup, allowing for a 11% grace, unless you opted for the prepaid recharge option.

• Where should I park the car when returning it?

  Please park the car in the same area within a 2-block radius. Ensure it’s in a free parking zone for at least 12 hours or prepay for any parking fees if applicable.

• What happens if I need to charge the car during my trip?

  The car’s navigation system will help you locate Tesla Superchargers. You can also use the Tesla app to find the nearest charger. It typically takes about 30 minutes to add 60% charge at a Supercharger. If using a non-Tesla fast charger, there is a CCS adapter in the trunk, and for slower charging stations, there's an adapter in the driver's door compartment.

• How much battery does the car need for my trip?

  Typically, the car requires a 40% charge for every 100 miles. For safety and battery health, it’s recommended to keep the battery level above 15%.

• How do I lock the car after my trip?

  Once you've parked the car, simply lock it using the Tesla app or the Turo app. Make sure to remove all your personal belongings and dispose of any trash before returning the car.

  The car automatically locks when you leave with your phone on you. You can also use the Tesla app to lock the car manually.

• How do I close the charger port door?

  Touchscreen: Touch the lightning bolt Charge Port icon on the car status overview, or navigate to Controls > Charging > Close Charge Port Voice commands: Use voice commands to close the charge port door Automatic: The charge port door will close automatically about 10 seconds after removing the connector NEVER close the charge port door manually. Doing so can cause damage. Tesla recommends not manually closing the charge port door, as it can cause damage.
