Description

PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION! This car is not for everyone!! This is terrific for those staying AROUND UNM/Down Town area or San Mateo and Montgomery. You will not be able to travel around all over Albuquerque with this car. You can easily travel very easily within a few miles of where you are staying. You can also get from Cottonwood Mall to let’s say the Abq Airport on one charge but would have to start charging. We have had a lot of happy guests who used it down town/UNM area. If you don’t mind that kind of a scenario, this car is a great for you! Please plan your trips accodingly! It can take up to 9 hours for a full charge with regular charging and about under an hour on a fast DC charge. You can use this car around Albuquerque very easily, There are several fast charging stations around Albuquerque. The DC charger on Montgomery and San Mateo is free. We do offer a regular or a fast charger as an extra. The regular charger can be plugged into any power outlet. Most hotels will let you use theirs or if using an Airbnb, you need a regular outside outlet. For regular charging (not fast charging), you need a regular outlet like the one you use to plug in your phone charger, TV's, etc. If you look at the charger, it will light up and show if it is charging or not. Also, do not use an extension chord to try to extend the length of the chord. This car does have fast charging, but does not come with the fast charger. We do offer a Fast Charger as an Extra. Before ordering the extra, make sure you will have access to a plug for fast charging (Dryer, Oven, sometimes garages have them). The Fast charger gets you a full charge in about 2-3 hours. DC chargers are even faster and charge under an hour. However most homes do not support it. You would need to go to a DC charging station in Albuquerque. I suggest using eco mode by shifting into drive twice to get the most miles out of the car. This car is meant for those who need a car to travel around town. If you think you are going to be needing to drive all day or go out of town, we recommend our Kia Sorento instead. If you have any questions, please message me before renting this car :) Here are some electric charge stations: https://www.pnm.com/ev-charging We have used Lattitudes in Rio Rancho and it works great! We have also used the charging station at Galles Chevrolet. The fast chargers at UNM always work great. We have also used the chargers at Winrock. There is a Super Fast DC Charger at Walmart on Carlise/Menaul but have not used it yet. I want to go over several things before you send a request: 🏠 We now also offer home rentals. Get this car and a great deal on a home to stay. Visit melero.org, tap on menu, and Car Sharing for more details. Let us know if you are interested in a car/home deal. ⚠️ I do not allow smoking in my car. This includes vaping, e-cigs, cigarettes, marijuana or any other type of smoking. ✅ This car gets maintained regularly and has regular oil changes. ✅ In order to use this car, Turo policy clearly states I have to check your drivers license 💳. This is a contactless reservation which means you will need to upload a photo of you holding your license next to your face and another photo of just your license. You’ll have an option in the Turo app to add photos and that is how you upload those photos for me. Failure to do this will result in your reservation being canceled without a refund. 🚨 Please do not be late to returning my car as I need time to clean 🧼 and disenfect for the next guest. ⏱ If you would like to use the car longer, extend your trip in the Turo right away. It’s not guaranteed that I will be able to extend it. Making the request makes it faster to approve if I am able to extend it for you. 🚧 If you are in an accident or have any problems with the car please do not try to repair the car yourself. Keep calm and Contact Turo immediately! Also message me to let me know your situation. 💦 If you are staying in Albuquerque the $25 cleaning extra is recommended so you won’t have to worry about cleaning the car. ✈️ For airport deliveries, the car will be dropped off either at the garage or a location where you can get to it. I will not be able to know until I get it to the airport. I’ll be able to let you know where it is either a few minutes before your trip start or after it starts. If it is in the garage, the garage requires us both to get an exit card. I will leave the exit card in the car with the key. You pay for the exit card, when you leave. When you return the card you will get an exit card and leave it for me in the car. I will pay for that exit card. The cost is $4 for one hour after the car is dropped off and no more than $12 for a whole day. This is what the airport charges, not what I charge. If anything else changes, you will receive similar information with changes when you request a reservation for this car.

Absolutely horrible, never rent this electric car. Spent half the day trying to charge it and find places to charge. If you have to travel more then 5 miles each way, it's not the car for you. Actually returned the car a day early, and was hoping for some kind of refund and never heard anything back. Good or bad. Spend the extra money on a gas powered vehicle.

Anastacio's response

You told me you were going straight to Los Lunas and were not planning on going to multiple places. GPS showed you tried going to across the city multiple times before going to Los Lunas. As I’ve mentioned in the description and as a message to you, that this car is best around wherever you are going to be staying. This car is meant for people staying around UNM, Uptown, etc. Smoking in the car is a violation of my rules and having someone else use the car is Turo’s terms of service.

My issue is not at all with Anastacio, but the car itself. I had a very difficult time finding charging stations and I was very worried because I got into town late at night. Some of the stations are only for people who carry a charging card and are not that plentiful. I also did not know that if the person renting the car does not respond if you would like to cancel the agreement you will be charged for the rental. Thankful that Anastacio responded back.
