Description

Welcome to the future! Self-driving, safe, smart, and slick! Teslas, now the absolute safest cars in the world, are something to experience for yourself. This new 2020 Tesla Model 3 SR+ has the Full-Self Driving package included (a ~$12,000 upgrade) and through its 8 cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors, it drives itself, detects and gives you early warning of potential collisions and comes with an emergency lane departure warning system. Navigate on Autopilot: automatic driving from highway on-ramp to off-ramp including interchanges and overtaking slower cars. Navigate to your destination on Autopilot and automatically get routed to recharge the battery if needed. And, it can park itself. It has instant acceleration and a range of almost 400 kms with full access to all Tesla Superchargers (giving you ~50% charge in 15-20 minutes) along the way for longer trips. Supercharging is included for free as part of the rental. I've been driving a Tesla for less than a year and already can't imagine going back to any other cars. I think of this as the equivalent of the first time you got a smartphone… could you ever go back to the Nokia brick or flip phones? Once reserved, you can pick up this Model 3 remotely and drop it off at any time within your reserved time. Tes is very easy to drive, and I'll happily go over any advanced features with you, including Navigate on Autopilot. Have fun with it, but be safe as it is still in Beta! If you have any hesitations, need any help, an orientation of the car or the system, or have any questions, I'd be more than happy to help.

Guidelines

Please refrain from smoking or vaping inside the car Return the vehicle in the same condition as it was received Return the car with the same charge as received Alternatively, you can pay for the no-hassle, post-trip charging. (At least 50 kilometers must be left if you purchase this option). Notify us if the car incurs any damage while under your care. Advise us if you need to adjust your return time Charge the car only to 80-90% (~300kms) of the battery's full capacity and do not let the battery go below 10% (40kms). Drivers will be responsible for any towing charges and/or battery damage charges. A plugged in Tesla is a happy Tesla. Even using the adapter in the trunk to plug into a normal outlet will get you ~20% overnight and it's so satisfying to not pay for gas. Please don't use an extension cord as it can damage the battery. Note: bringing the car to less than 10% (<40kms) or over 90% (>350kms) on a regular basis is not good for battery longevity. Keep an eye on your range and use the Navigate feature to get to your destination and Tes will schedule supercharging stops along the way all by itself! It takes away any range anxiety and makes driving on longer-trips easy.

Faqs

  • How do I turn the Tesla car on and off?

You can start the Tesla by pressing on the brake pedal and putting into gear. Place your key card on the console and put the car into gear. You can turn off your Tesla by putting the car in park, exiting the car and closing the door behind you - that's it! Alternatively, although not necessary, you can turn it off by going to the touchscreen through Controls > Safety & Security > Power Off.

  • How do I plan for a longer trip with a Tesla?

Before starting a long road trip, we recommend checking your tire pressure (psi) shown on the Tire and Loading Information label located on the center door pillar. You should also inspect your tires for bulges, foreign objects, cuts or wear. If you notice anything concerning, you can self-schedule a service appointment in your Tesla app. Plan Your Trip Enter your destination on the touchscreen and Navigation will identify the fastest route, and the most convenient locations to charge along your route. Use our Go Anywhere tool to plan future road trips in your Tesla. Select your car’s configuration, and add your start and end locations. The Go Anywhere tool will provide you a route through Supercharger locations and a recommended charge time at each stop. We always advise using your in-car trip planner when you’re on the road so that it will give you the most accurate recommended stops and charge times based on your driving. To locate the nearest Supercharger location at anytime, tap on the lightning bolt icon on your navigation. Tap on any red Supercharger pin to view the total number of open stalls, status updates, and maximum charge rate available. You can also explore Destination Charging locations conveniently located at hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers across the country. These will be indicated with a gray pin.

  • What is Autopilot and how do I operate it?

All new Tesla cars come standard with the most advanced driver assistance capabilities, designed to provide enhanced safety and convenience for a stress-free driving experience. These include emergency braking, front collision warning and side collision warning. Learn more about Tesla Autopilot. Enhanced Autopilot will match speed to traffic conditions, keep within a lane, automatically change lanes without requiring driver input, transition from one freeway to another, exit the freeway when your destination is near, self-park when near a parking spot and be summoned to and from your garage. To engage traffic-aware cruise control in Model 3, set cruising speed by moving the gear lever fully down and then releasing when driving at your desired speed. To initiate Autosteer, move the gear lever fully down twice in quick succession. For more info: https://www.tesla.com/en_CA/support/model-3-videos

  • What If I lose my keys or get locked out of the car?

Please contact me and I can let you back in and remotely start the car through the Tesla app remotely. Please note a $50 charge will be levied for lost Key Cards

  • What should I know about driving in cold weather?

Both cold weather and a 100 percent battery charge contribute to limiting the effect of regenerative braking. You can prep your Tesla for cold temperatures from your mobile app or car touchscreen. Follow these best practices for improving your car’s performance in cold weather: Precondition your car from your Tesla app for about one hour to heat your battery before driving, especially in near freezing temperatures. Charge your car while preconditioning to reduce the amount of energy loss from your battery pack. Turn off Range Mode to avoid limiting the power available to precondition your car, even when charging. In temperatures below 40° F (4° C), use washer fluid with antifreeze. Not using antifreeze can impair visibility through the windshield.
