Guidelines

1. I take pride in providing every rider with a ready to go vehicle meaning that it is given to you with a clean interior and exterior and a full tank of gas. I only ask that it be returned in the same condition. An EXCEPTION will be made to the above statement IF you selected the “Post-Trip Cleaning” and “Prepaid Refuel Extra” option when booking. 2. Pets are welcome, however please remember that you are responsible for any damages caused from your pets in the vehicle and are asked to please vacuum any pet hair and wipe down any paw prints. 3. You are responsible to pay any parking violations, or driving fines accumulated while using the vehicle. Any toll fees accrued while the vehicle is in your care will also be charged to your account. 4. Smoking or vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited in the vehicle. Charges will be added to booking fees upon failing to adhere to these guidelines. ****Thank you for choosing my car and for taking good care of it****

  • Can I extend my trip?

    You betcha you can! If the vehicle has not been previously booked by another rider, feel free to go ahead and re-book the same vehicle through the Turo app. No need to drop off the vehicle for re-inspection either. I only ask that you message me letting me know you intend to extend your trip 24 hours in advance.

  • If I make a mess in the car do I have to clean it up?

    In a nutshell, yes please. I take pride in providing every rider with a clean vehicle (this includes both the interior and exterior) and only ask that it be returned in the same condition. WAIT, THERE’S AN EXCEPTION! If for whatever reason you are unable to clean the car upon return, you can add on the app under "post-trip cleaning" extra for only $25 when booking. Additional charges may be be added for cleaning if post-trip cleaning extra was not purchased.

  • Who do I contact if I get into an accident?

    Got into a fender bender? No worries, you are completely insured through Turo and instructions on how to contact them are provided to you through the app. The vehicle also will call emergency respondents if you are in an accident through an automatic sensor. Once you have ensured you are safe, and out of harms way please message me and let me know you have been in an accident so I can cancel any upcoming trips that have been booked with that vehicle.

  • Can I let other people drive the car?

    You can add another driver through your Turo account. I will be able to see that you have more than one rider when you register. By adding another driver, your Turo’s insurance will cover all the registered drivers.

  • Can I use the car to work for Uber/Lyft or any other rideshare or share-econ platforms?

    Nice idea, I know... but no. You will find in Turo's terms and agreements that driving for any rideshare companies or any delivery companies (ie. Uber Eats, Skip the Dishes, Amazon Delivery, Instacart etc.) is strictly prohibited.

  • Can I smoke or vape in the car even if the windows are down?

    I'm glad you asked! Smoking or vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited at all times.

  • How do I open the gas tank?

    Great question! There is a leaver on near the floor next to the driver's door. Push it in to open the tank door. After fueling make sure the cap is put back on nice and tight and simply close the tank door.

  • Why won’t the doors or trunk lock?

    So…this vehicle is a bit of a smarty pants. If the keys are left in the car the doors will not lock, and if the key is left inside of the trunk the trunk will not close.

  • Can I take the vehicle out of province or country?

    Yes, but I will need to be notified prior to the trip.

  • What if I got a ticket while driving the vehicle?

    You are responsible to pay any parking violations, or driving fines accumulated while the vehicle is in your care. Any toll fees accrued while the vehicle is in your care will also be charged to your account.

  • Do I need to fill up the gas tank when I return the vehicle?

    The short answer is yes. Please have the gas tank full and ready for the next renter. BUT WAIT! If you purchase the prepaid refuel extra feature for only $40 you can return it without worrying about it. Additional charges may be added if the vehicle the gas tank is not full and the prepaid refuel extra option has not been purchased.
