Description

There’s nothing like a classic car. This iconic 1973 Stingray Corvette in candy apple red features a 350 V8 engine with saddle tan leather interior. It’s got matching numbers and an exceptional number of original parts for a 50 year old car. That makes this car not only a work of art but also a piece of history. The ‘73 Vette is a one of a kind model year which introduced the sleek and beautiful new hood while still retaining the beloved chrome bumper seen on earlier models, something that went away the very next year. Many other safety and comfort enhancements also came out this year (of which this car is loaded). All these qualities and more make this a highly beloved model year. Our favorite way to drive is with the t-tops off and windows down, feeling the breeze. However you drive it though, you’re sure to stand out. Beware of rubbernecking, staring, and drooling (we warned you). Engine - 350 V8 with Quadrajet Transmission - 3 speed automatic Steering - power steering Brakes - four wheel power disc brakes Seatbelts - Yes, lap and shoulder Roof features - T-Tops Red always looks good on a Stingray, and an upgrade later in life means there's a nice gloss that delivers a modern shine on a sunny day. And speaking of modern looks, we all know '73 as the debut of the urethane front bumpers front. These gave the C3 an appearance of one long continuous wave, and it made the '73 much more of a designer's work of art. But just because this was a more streamlined car did not mean it skipped out on brightwork. It just made great features much more noticeable, like the Rally wheels, rocker panels, and rear bumper. The T-tops let you open this up to the world, and the factory-correct saddle tan interior makes for a timelessly attractive look against the red. Plus, this coupe comes with some nice features like power windows, leather upholstery, a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner, and cold-blowing factory air conditioning upgraded to R134a refrigerant. It's built to be a true driver's machine, and that's why you get bucket seats, a three-spoke sports steering wheel on a tilt column, a full auxiliary gauge panel at eye-level, and a large speedo and tach. The engine bay looks good with the Chevy orange block as well as the polished components like the air grabber, valve covers, and distributor shield. It makes for a nice presentation to show off, and after all, that's what you do with a numbers-matching motor. The 350 cubic-inch V8 inhales deeply with the correct Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a throaty note through the dual exhaust. In fact, you'll find this quite a strong package with nice maintenance investments with a Corvette Specialist over the last couple of years. This includes a new battery, shocks, oil pan, lower control arms, and power steering control valve. Add in more driver's features like numbers-matching TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel power disc brakes, and the grip of BF Goodrich T/A tires, and you know you have a solid driver's classic. To set expectations: We maintain vehicles to professional standards and comply with Turo safety guidelines, however classic vehicles are not equipped with modern day conveniences and are best suited for shorter distance trips. 🌴🌴🌴 Enjoy peace of mind booking with one of Tampa’s best and highest rated hosts, suncoast automotive. I’ve driven hyper cars and super cars and this car probably got as much if not more attention and appreciation from people. This car is beautiful and nostalgic and I can’t recommend it enough.

Suncoast Automotive's response

Thanks Dontelle for the kind review. Glad you enjoyed your trip!

I wanted a car to wow everyone at my wedding and this Corvette was perfect. Everyone loved it at the wedding and even just driving down the street it got a lot of attention and complements. Suncoast Automotive and their team made the whole process so easy and everything ran so smoothly. Thanks for helping make my big day so special.

I love that they rent out a vintage corvette. Stating that, the car is riddled with all the issues of classic corvettes.
Things to keep in mind:
When it rains, it’s rains in the car even when covered .
When it’s hot, the “fan” only works on the passenger side and does nothing.
The car shakes over 65 mph.
The car will stall, pretty often.
Outside of that, it’s absolutely gorgeous and I’m glad to have had that experience .
