Description

Hi Turo friends, I'm Tony Tacoma and I'm ready for adventure! Let's go places! First time using Turo? Use this link and get $25 off. https://turo.com/c/samuelw1 I'm a beautiful Magnetic Grey Metallic Toyota who is ready for work or play! I’m up for the city, coast, mountains, or deserts – rain or shine. I’m good for moving, hauling, camping, looking to get away, or just plain cruising around; cause let's be honest driving a truck is just more fun than a boring car! I have a full length 6' bed and a 3-person bench seat, which is extra good for snuggling while we drive, sliding rear window, and air conditioning to keep you cool when Portland is not. I'm also not a thirsty boy. I get an estimated 20 MPG in the city/26 highway. But don't let that fool you, as my 159 HP motor is sure to surprise. I'm also always thinking safety as well as fun with 4-wheel ABS, traction control, and airbags for all. Look below my dash and you'll find a bundle of tech accessories as well as an aux port for your phone/iPod so we can rock out to your tunes while we explore the world. With a extra distance included (250mi/day), let's go explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

Parking details

Tony Tacoma has dedicated parking in the Solheim-Paul parking lot located between 15th and 16th Ave on Kerney behind REI Portland. Keys stay inside Tony and hand-off can be done remotely to unlock Tony at the start of your trip! It's pretty cool and makes renting super easy as I can accommodate just about any and all pick-up or drop-off time that works for you. If you're coming from Portland International Airport (PDX) Downtown Portland is also easy to access. Just hop on the red line MAX ($2.50) and get off at either the downtown China Town stop and walk, or the Galleria/SW 10th Ave Max Station and transfer to either the NS Line or the A-loop of the street car (same ticket). Then exit at NW 10th and Johnson street and walk the 5 blocks to Tony. If you happen to have your own car, you can also park it in the Solheim Paul lot while you rent Tony. You're welcome to borrow Tony's monthly parking tag while you rent to save a little money, but PLEASE remember that his parking tag needs to be re-hung from the mirror so he does not get a ticket before you say goodbye.

Guidelines

Keys: Always stay locked inside Tony. He is remotely unlocked/locked. Makes sharing super easy for everyone! Pets: Four legged friends are ok, but please keep them in a carrier and never loose in the bed. (For their safety). Smoking: Please don't. Neither tobacco or electronic. It's bad for Tony. Fuel: Tony is always kept full of gas for both Turo and Getaround sharing services. Your rental will always start with a full tank, please refuel when done for his next adventure!

Faqs

  • Can you accommodate last minute trips?
Yes absolutely! With Tony's remote lock/unlock you can pick him up and return at anytime that is convenient for you. I try to instantly respond to trip requests, so if you don't get a response in under an hour please feel free to call or text me directly.
  • Who should I contact if I'd like to buy or sell a home in Oregon?
Just talk to my dad. His business cards are inside, feel free to take one.
  • What passes are needed in Oregon?
There are no toll roads or bridges to worry about. However, many mountain trails require a Northwest Forest Pass, and if you're heading to the snow a Sno-Park permit is required in designated Sno-Parks from November 1 – April 30. If you need these passes just let dad know. He may have one which can be borrowed for the trip.
