Description

2018 Tesla 75D, black with light tan interior and carbon trim with wheel upgrade. Provides approximately 210 miles of range on an 85% standard charge with regenerative breaking on. Supercharging at a Tesla supercharger is free. There are several around the DC area and also many more slower public charging ones. The car does have the autopilot option, but should only be used by experienced Tesla drivers. I can deliver the car, but not in Maryland (even though the delivery radius includes MD, there is a big river between us and Tesla's can't fly... yet).

Parking details

I have a driveway. This is a residential neighborhood but very close to major roads and easy to find. Car will be backed into driveway on left side and charged with 200 miles of range. The keys will be in it, with PIN to drive turned on so only you'll be able to drive it with the PIN provided.

Guidelines

No pets. No smoking. No off-road. No muddy shoes. No hauling anything other than luggage (no bikes or pet cages or landscaping supplies, etc..). Do not request for prom usage or other events involving the planned use of transporting people to an event with you doing the driving. I prefer not to have the car in the city, and if it is, no on-street parking. Unless you have elected the post-trip cleaning option, please return clean inside and out. I have a wash contract (https://www.7-eleven.com/locations/va/sterling/46651-algonkian-pkwy-39644) but it is often out of service, so safer to plan ahead to wash or elect the option to just let me take care of it after. If you use an automatic wash, do not use the cheap gas station versions with cheap brushes and be sure to fold the mirrors in and TURN OFF the automatic wipers when going through. The vacuums there are $1 in quarters for 4 minutes.

Faqs

  • How do I charge?
There are a LOT of options for charging around the DC region, with Tesla superchargers the fastest option. Loudoun ONE and Reston Town Center and Tysons Corner mall all have cheap or free charging, with Tysons providing Tesla-specific options (thought not super charging, it's still faster than other non-Tesla options). When using non-Tesla charging, you'll need an adaptor, which is in the passenger door side-pocket. You can "trickle charge" with a standard 110 outlet adaptor, but it is slow - only 3-5 miles of charge per hour.
  • What if I run of battery?
Please don't. If you're staying in the area where I live, you can come charge here if you let me know in advance. If you're staying in the general DC region there are lots of options for super charging. It's like running out of gas, just keep an eye on the gauge and realize there should be no place in the DC region you need more than 40 miles to get to a super charger. If you use navigation to set a destination, it will route you to a charger if you need one to get there. Each navigation engagement also gives you a message if you can do a full round trip on the current charge or not. In the end, there is road side assistance from Tesla
  • Does the car drive itself?
NO. That feature isn't available yet on any Tesla. This car does have auto pilot upgrade, and has the navigate on auto pilot download, but both are very very risky, and I strongly ask you not to try them. If you must just to check it out, only do it on the highway with clearly marked lines and light traffic. When using on regular roads, it can sometimes overreact or swerve when going through an intersection with crossing turn lines.
