Very frustrating experience that left me spending too much time worrying about the vehicle instead of enjoying my family’s company. The car was dirty upon pickup and the check engine light was already on. Oil indicator came on within 30minutes of driving on freeway, Host suggested I check the oil level to confirm there wasn’t a leak (as it had recently been serviced). Couldn’t roll up rear passenger window from driver seat, had to exit vehicle to use switch on back door. Also after completely packing the rear storage space for a trip, the tailgate locked itself shut and wouldn’t open, mechanism was making grinding sounds when I tried to open. I had to pull everything out of rear doors (coolers, camping gear, etc). With tailgate not working, the car would not let the key remote lock the doors- had to lock door manually. Host stated this has never happened before and suggested I unplug interior lights and to unplug battery to keep the it from draining since interior lights wouldn’t shut off. Host was accessible to discuss issues, but there were no solutions other than to return vehicle after a day of use which meant I had to make a last minute conventional rental car reservation and waste time out of my trip to deal with LR2 getting towed and incurring unexpected transportation costs due to new logistics. I lost valuable time with family (dealing with Host, Turo Support, Ubers, and new car rental) and took on unnecessary transportation costs. This car should really not be listed until it is properly maintained. If the check engine light or oil indicator issues escalated while I was on my camping trip (where I had little phone reception!) I, and my family could’ve been stranded. That is not a risk I was willing to take, and I shouldn’t have been put in that position.
