This vehicle does have some interior wear/tear. Please note that we do not permit this vehicle to be driven out of California, and prefer that it is used for local travel within Los Angeles. This is due to battery considerations. If you are planning on a long drive, please explain this when you are requesting and we may approve on a case by case basis. Thanks!

  • Can I use toll roads?
    The rental is equipped with a FasTrak transponder so you may use toll rodes. All tolls and fees associated are the renters responsibility. If you do use a toll road, please let us know.
  • Do I need to return the car fully charged?
    It's up to you, however, you will incur a $25 charge if the vehicle has less than 175 miles of displayed range upon drop-off. There are three supercharger locations in the vicinity, located at the Fox Hills Mall in Culver City, at SpaceX in Hawthorne (one block away), and at the Hilton Garden Inn in Redondo Beach. These locations can easily be found through the Tesla touchsceen. If you are using the Turo LAX Lot, please return the car with greater than 175 miles of range. There are superchargers within 10 minutes of location, and a charge to this level should take no more than 30 minutes. This charge will be complimentary. If the car is returned to the Turo lot with less than 175 miles of range (unless otherwise noted by your concierge) you will incur a $75 fine.
  • How fast may I drive?
    Please keep the speed below 85 mph. The speed is monitored through the Tesla app and will alert the 24/7 concierge of speeds over 85 mph.
  • How many miles are included with the rental?
    The rental includes 200 miles per day and $0.30 per mile over
  • What other fees might apply?
    Please see the list of additional fees that may apply : $75 Fee if returned to the Turo lot with less than 175 miles of range $25 Fee if returned to office location with less than 175 miles remaining on the battery $500 Fee for smoking of any substance inside the car $500 Fee for any pet inside the car $20 per hour late fee if the car is returned after the designated return time $500 Towing fee if you drive the car until it runs out of battery $150- $500 to replace any missing piece or part of the charging adapter $500 Fee to replace a lost key fob (the fobs are very expensive!) $50 Fee for any moving violation $50 Fee for turning off "Remote Access"
  • Do I need to charge the vehicle during my rental?
    This Tesla model X is equipped with a 90kw battery. You will need to charge the car approximately every 175 miles. The GPS navigation system inside the vehicle will display all available Tesla superchargers. Please make sure that you charge the vehicle before it reaches 30 miles of displayed range. Generally, you will get 75% of what is displayed. You are also provided a conversion plug to allow you to charge at any electric vehicle charger, provided you have an account with that provider. This Model X has free supercharging. Should you need assistance, you will be given instructions from our concierge service.
  • Can I adjust the vehicle's settings?
    Yes, feel free to play around with the vehicle settings that can be found within the touchscreen. However, please do not turn off "remote access". You will incur a $50 fine if remote access if turned off (we use this to collect data from the vehicle, so this causes an interruption to our process and takes time to fix).
  • Where can I travel?
    We prefer that you stay within the Los Angeles area, or at most 75 miles away from a supercharger. Due to Turo restrictions, you cannot go to Mexico.
  • Do you offer long-term discounts?
    If you are interested in booking a vehicle for 15+ days, please shoot us a note (request a day far in advance) with your email address / phone number and what you're looking for, and we will help accommodate this.

loved the model x design although the battery life/prediction was lacking. We lost 45miles driving 31 for example. The a/c might have caused this cause it was louder than car's radio even when weather was only 85 outside. We have 4 ppl and a infant with 4 checked bags. They only uber us a Prius at the first time. Been waiting for 20mins finally got a van, we

I had a terrible experience with the car. The car shut down in the middle of a freeway with 5% charge remaining. The 12V battery died and had to be jump started. I believe Turo roadside assistance has no experience in handling issues with Tesla cars. The tow truck driver had no idea how to jump start the 12v battery. I had to contact Tesla support and get the issue resolved and also paid out of my own pocket. This happened the day before I was supposed to return the car. The car has ~ 265k odometer reading and I didn't expect the car to have such a high mileage. The car performed well though except at the end. Would be skeptical in the future to rent a Tesla. Not at all a good experience.
