Comfortable 7 seat family hauler. Great to haul many people with their luggage in comfort. The Ford Flex a slightly larger sibling to the Ford Explorer, but smaller than the Ford Expedition. This SUV has many safety features including ABS and multiple airbags. Enjoy my vehicle with family trips to Disney, Busch Gardens and other theme parks in the Tampa/Orlando area. Shoot down to Weeki Wachee to see the mermaid show. Use this vehicle to see the beaches in the area. Respectful pets are always welcome. We look forward to sharing our vehicle with you.

Guidelines

Clean dogs welcome, but please return the car clean - both inside and out. No smoking. This is a car and not a tent, please use it for transport and not as a place of shelter for camping trips. While the Flex looks like an SUV it is really a crossover/minivan equivalent, stick to paved roads and treat my vehicle with respect.

Vehicle was clean and well maintained. Jonathan was easy to work with and helped to make our first rental through Turo a good experience. Would definitely rent this vehicle again.

RENTER BEWARE: Picked up the car from the owner and walked around the vehicle with the owner and we did a check off list of the previous damage that the car previously had. There were 3 marks on the car that I recall that were white gash/scrape/dent types and Some other minor scratches. He had me sign it. He pointed out his dog’s hair was in the car that he could not get out & hoped I wouldn’t mind. I pointed out that there was lots of older imbedded dirt and dust as well and he explained that he wasn’t driving the car any more it had sitting as he was getting a Tesla. This dirt and dog hair (took photos) was not put in the statement of condition as he only walked me around the outside and had me sign it. He then “forgot” to give me the copy that I requested. When I asked him by phone later he said he would text me a copy which I never received. With regard to the dog hair I told him it was OK, that we Love dogs so no big deal for us. We put a plastic tarp down in the back to keep our luggage clean & towels on the seats where we sat as the seats were stained as well (See photo.) The owner seemed pleasant and trustworthy, I did not feel at the time he was trying to scheme for a new gloss job on his 5 year old vehicle. As for the driving, the car preformed well. Drove across Florida for a work event taking only major highways. The car sat in the designated work parking lot during the day and in the hotel parking lot after returning back from work as we were exhausted. To and from the destination we only stopped to use the restroom, get gas, and to get a bite to eat. The destination was just over 4 hours in each direction. I have a PERFECT driving record in 40 years of driving. We did “no sight seeing” and returned the vehicle under (almost 200 miles Under) the miles allowed. We took great care of the vehicle. I Washed and vacuumed the car and returned the car, keeping in touch with the owner all the while. After washing it, I thought I would try to help the owner get the deeper imbedded dirt and his pet’s hair vacuumed out, but it didn’t work. I wanted to do this as he and I had discussed renting the vehicle again in the near future. (However I did not have the chance to call him as I was helping a family member going through a serious illness that following week for the rental.) When I arrived in the afternoon with vehicle, the owner called me back before my arrival and said he would not be there to accept the car back, that he was “at work”. Which was very odd considering previously he had told me several times he had “worked at home”. He told me to just leave the car in the driveway, and the key under the mat and lock the door. I was very uncomfortable that he wasn’t going to be there to receive the vehicle. He assured me that he had a camera there and no one would take the car. He also invited me to sit on his porch to wait for Uber/Lyft which I did and appreciated. I was absolutely stunned to come across late yesterday going to the Truro app that there was a message from him (the owner and days after the rental) that the car was damaged. I was shocked beyond belief. Why was he not there to accept and inspect the vehicle? (which I would have gladly done) Why didn’t he call or text? The car was “damaged” (????????) and he wants $550 to fix it for a new clear coat he claims caused by dust, dirt and bugs??? And it was our fault (???!!!!!) First thing this morning I called a mechanic and he informed us that it would take “Years” for Clear Coat to wear off. Unless someone put chemical acids to remove the clear coat. Dust would not hurt it in three days. Besides it was washed after the trip. We only drove on pavement. Mostly main highways 2-6 lanes wide! He is applying for “insurance” payment. This should be a Scam alert. I never should have rented from someone with no history. We rented a Mercedes years ago (before we got our new car) for 3 months when this company was called Relay Rides. We have referred many people to them. We saved a lot of money and had a great experience with the owner and Relay Rides. No incidents with a Mercedes that we rented for 3 months! And it was both our first time doing it. Thank God we had that experience to remember that not all people are untrustworthy. We have five stars with Airbnb and always care for what every we rent like it is our own. We are extremely careful individuals by nature. He said there was a coffee stain and shows a pic. We don’t drink coffee! I have a pic of that same area (at drop off) that shows it clean at the time i left the car. (See Photo). I also have a pic of the car at drop off and it is shining and clean. After this experience we may not use this service again. Do not rent from this individual! (Take lots of photos, keep all records, MAKE SURE U GET YOUR STATEMENT OF CONDITION SHEET) do both outside AND inside inspections. Get the Truro insurance as we did. Hopefully we will get it back. Also have a witness. We will take this person to court if we are not reimbursed the extra $50 because luckily, we can Prove EVERY ASPECT of our trip.
