Worked great for what we needed.

Perfect for what we needed!

Kuini S.-Aug 16, 2019

I decided to try Turo for the first time when I had a traditional rental reservation fall through at the last moment.  I was grateful Lori was open to renting me her car, so I dismissed several things that in hindsight I should have addressed as soon as I picked up the car.    APPEARANCE The car was dirty, with multiple air fresheners hanging from the steering wheel Front of the car was spray painted white. Key was taped together with electrical tape (perhaps the cause of locking debacle?). Tank was half full (I returned half full per pictures).   SAFETY Appearance aside, the car was not provided in a safe condition.  Not a laughing matter. I had to pull off on I-15 to clean the headlights, as they were so dirty, I couldn’t see to drive at night. The low tire pressure light was on the whole time.  I took 45 minutes out of my next morning to locate a service station and have the tires checked and filled. The car rattled.  I honestly didn’t feel confident driving it alone.   AGREED UPON TERMS AND CONDITIONS I made a point of asking Lori if the back seats went down, as the primary purpose of renting the car was to transport skis.  She said yes.  (Please refer to screenshots from our text conversation.)  Neither set went down.  There was a small hole that could barely fit one set of skis, rendering the car nearly useless (see picture).  In 9 days, I drove a mere 200 miles (again refer to dashboard pictures), and had to rely on Uber and friends to transport skis daily. The reservation indicated I could pick up the car curbside at the airport.  I had to haul gear to the parking lot, and pay $24 dollars in parking, because Lori had left it in the short term parking lot earlier that day.  Lori, meanwhile, requested I return the car in the economy lot, which would have required a shuttle (with 200 pounds of gear) back to the airport.  I returned her car to the same lot in which I picked it up.  At least she had the opportunity to get it out of the lot in a timely (cost-effective) manner. I was told to leave the key and parking ticket in the cup holder and leave the car unlocked.  I did so.  Lori claimed the car was locked, and she needed to call a locksmith.
