Description

Best mode of transport around this wild city! Unbeatable for zippy power steering, backing into tiny parking spaces to avoid SFMTA parking tickets, and all around fun. Top sunroof opens up to let the occasional SF sun in. *If the car was left unclean by a previous renter or something is amiss, please let us know as soon as possible.* If the car does not start and you’ve used the getaround key to open the car try to “unlock” the car with the getaround digital key then try to reatart the car. This will probably get the car to start. An extra $1 surcharge will be added to toll charges during the trip.

Parking details

Please park in Bernal Heights where there is NO weekly street cleaning. York, Hampshire, and Peralta are all streets that have no cleaning. The SmartCar is great for finding street parking. There are always spots that larger cars can't fit into. You just need to be aware of street sweeping times--posted on the street signs). When you are done with your trip make sure that the parking spot will not get a ticket for the following 24 hours (you will be responsible if it gets ticketed). Be aware of street sweeping hours or 2 hour parking limits on various streets. You can either message me through the app or text this number 646-580-7438. If you can't find the car and can't reach me, contact Turo at 415 965 4525 - they can help to provide the exact location of the car. You'll find the key located in the sun visor organizer on the driver side, please return it there at the end of your trip. If the car does not start and you’ve used the Turo key to open the car try to “unlock” the car with the Turo digital key then try to restart the car. This will probably get the car to start. My car is set up for automated charged toll crossing using my license plate number so feel free to use the FasTrak lane.

Had a lot of difficulty picking up the car at first, but Henry came through in helping me get to it. The previous driver had parked the car in the wrong spot and the license plate was wrong in the app (now it has been corrected). Car drove smoothly and felt fine driving on the highway.
