I don't. Do you remember that time we gassed up the car and it was $50.00? Nope. Do you remember that time we used that crappy cassette aux cord you used to listen to Migos. HA! Are you kidding me??? Do you remember that time you hit 95 mph going through the North Beach tunnel? Finally. YES! AND I DID IT IN THIS SMART CAR! It is my pleasure to introduce the LYNX! This whip was built to accommodate every aspect of San Francisco. Never worry about parking again. The Smart turns on a dime, fits in parking spots that you could only dream of using before and with the new 2016 transmission, races up hills as if you hit the turbo slides in Mario Cart! With the upgraded engine, driving on the highway is absolute breeze. Worried about having storage? You shouldn't be. The passenger seats folds all the way down for maximum storage. Whether you're a local looking to get away from Karl the Fog or you're a visitor wanting to zip around the city to see all the sites, this is the car for you! *Reminders* Turo Checklist must be completed by renter. This includes taking pictures of the gas gauge and mileage of the vehicle at the beginning of the trip and the end. Gas: Gas will always be full when you rent the car, please let us know if it is not full. We also expect you to fill up the gas tank when you are done using the car. We do track gas on the vehicle, however, it is a huge inconvenience for us to fill up the tank if you forget. Please make sure to leave copy of receipt in glove compartment as proof. Mileage: Please track your own mileage and report overages to us. We can track the mileage on the vehicles, but like to operate on an honor system. If you go over on mileage and do not let us know, we will be charging standard Turo rate for mileage overage ($0.75/mi). If you let us know before your trip ends, we will waive the inconvenience fee. Toll: For tolls, you can pay cash or go through Fastrak. If you go through Fastrak with our vehicle, you will be billed $10 for the toll. If you do not inform us about toll crossings through Turo messages, reimbursement may be requested. Tickets: If you get any tickets during your rental, please pay them off yourself. If we receive a ticket in the mail that has not yet been paid, we will pay the ticket and charge you the full amount. If you get pulled over, the vehicle registration and Turo insurance cards are located in the booklet in the glove compartment. There are many insurance cards located in the vehicle, please make sure the one you use says TURO on it. Cleanliness: Please return the car in as-good or better condition than when you borrowed it. Parking details

This vehicle is street parked with a G Permit neighborhood parking. When returning the vehicle, renter must find acceptable street parking. Please be mindful of street sweeping signs! Please do not park in an area that will have street sweeping done within 48 hours. If the car is ticketed within that time I will seeking reimbursement of $73.00.

  • Is this car too small?
    I asked myself the same question. I am 5' 11, I had more space than I could dream of. I decided that I needed a bigger sample size so I lent the vehicle to a colleague of mine for a weekend. He is 6'6" his girlfriend is 5'11" and their yellow lab (avg weight 80 lb.) He could not stop raving about the vehicle and that his comfort and overall enjoyment of the vehicle went through the roof!
  • What must be done at pickup?
    Pictures of the exterior and interior must be documented by renter. Pictures of the mileage is documented before the trip is started and after it is completed. A picture of the gas tank must be documented as well.
  • What condition does the vehicle need to be returned?
    The vehicle must be returned in a clean state. Trash must be taken out and vacuumed if needed. Since this vehicle goes up to wine country and Lake Tahoe, it most certainly will need to be washed after. There is a Shell car wash close to the drop off location @ the address 3035 Geary Blvd. Car washes vary from 10-15 dollars.
  • What if I exceed my mileage?
    The fee of $1.00 cents per mile will be added to the total cost of the trip. Failure to report mileage will result in a $25.00 dollar fee
  • Do I need to fill the gas up at completion of the rental?
    Yes. This vehicle takes premium. Please make sure to put a copy of the receipt in the glove compartment.
  • Is delivery one way or both ways?
    Deliveries in the city and to airports are one way only. Upon completion of the rental, the vehicle is to be brought to address 1335 Webster Street. This is the Safeway parking lot. Please do not leave purses, wallets, luggage or any valuables in plain site as windows will be broken by thieves. Only free if 5 day rental or longer.

This was my first rental with Turo and it was such an easy and wonderful experience! George’s car was easy to locate and was a breeze to drive down to Big Sur. I would definitely choose to rent his car again for the future.
