Parking details

All LUSO cars are conveniently located at the ABM Airport Parking lot and are a 6-12 minute walk from both San Diego terminals. If you don’t feel like a quick walk in the gorgeous San Diego weather, UBER and LYFT rides are easily accessible outside each terminal. There is no shuttle.


NO SMOKING // NO VAPE PENS // NO PETS // As per Turo's rules, the car must be returned in the same condition it was received (interior and exterior). Please return fuel levels/electric battery to original levels.


  • Can I let someone else drive the car?
    Only the person who rents the car is insured to drive the vehicle. If you expect that someone else might drive the vehicle, simply upload their drivers license to the TURO app. It’s very easy to do. Unfortunately, failure to do this will cause insurance to be void, and you will be personally liable for the full cost of any damage.
  • How do after-hours pickups and drop-offs work?
    We provide convenient options for easy after-hours pickup and drop-off. After booking we will contact you with more details.
  • Returning a car late?
    If you will be late returning a vehicle, you must call and notify TURO at 1-866-735-2901 so that you will be protected with insurance coverage. Please note that sometimes a vehicle has back-to-back rentals and can be going out only an hour after it’s returned. Any late return will lead to a late return fee according to Turo regulations.
  • Need to pick up the car early?
    Simply log into the app and change your pick-up time. Insurance coverage is only valid during the booked time listed on the app. We kindly ask that if you need to pick up the vehicle early that you go into the TURO app and adjust your rental time accordingly. It’s very easy to do. (TURO does not want us to release a vehicle to a renter unless the rental period has started.) Likewise, if you will be late returning a vehicle, you must call and notify TURO at 1-866-735-2901 so that you will be protected with insurance coverage.
  • What if there is damage to the vehicle or I get into an accident?
    Please notify us of any damage or accidents that happen during your rental. We appreciate your honesty and will work with you to solve the problem.
  • Can I take the car into Mexico?
    Absolutely not. TURO's insurance policy does not cover vehicles outside the USA. This is strictly prohibited.

The car wouldn’t lock and when I messaged about it I was simply told the battery on key pad was dead and to lock it manually. That would have worked but the handle on the drivers side was messed up. Otherwise a great car.

Loved renting from luso we had never rented on Turo before so we were a little skeptical. But they made it super easy to pick up and drop off. Rented one of the little city skooters to get from the airport over to their place so it made getting there very easy as well. The Volvo was very nice however we thought it looked a little bigger online than it really was so if you are expecting a bigger vehicle look at one if there suvs. We will definitely do this again.

It was a good car, my review is more-so on the service. Took them 45 minutes to give me the car at pickup, the keyfob failed after 3 days, I sent numerous texts and messages through the app, never got a response, the tire pressure warning kept coming up on the screen and the rep was bugged when I asked him to look into it, his exact words were “It’s a waste of time bro, you should just take it”, I tried extending, no response, the key cover flew off, no response, it was impossible to get a hold of anyone. And I never saw Jewels Jade. :)
